I liked Grant, but love Fro!
The Shop
I think he's doing a good job as always, and I think he's trying to walk the line between catering to Moto guys and the general public which is important for keeping or making the sport inviting for regular folks and sponsor purposes, which has gotta be tough.
There does seem to be a little disconnect between him and Weege right now, leads to a bit of repetition and a slightly awkward chemistry, but they're finding their feet after years of Weege/GL. I agree the fairly constant "Okay?" "Right?" "If you will..." could do with calming down a little too, but I'm sure it's a tough gig and he's just trying to keep people engaged.
It'll be all good, give it some time
Can anyone tell me the difference in the colouratuon of wet and dry dirt 🤔😂
Enough said
GL has a similar style to Malin with the humor and insight.
Bailey was imo the best commentator the sport has seen (particularly in combination with Art) and Malin is the best currently. I didn't like Grant at first but he grew on me over time. Generally these guys are short, snappy and immediately to the point, with (when possible) technical aspects the ordinary rider might not know (or need to be reminded of) thrown in.
Pit Row
Also, Fro didn't exactly finish high school in Kansas. It's no secret he has some slight speech issues that I think he had honed out decently while doing SX for years. I certainly know if this was to become a permanent gig for him he would work on the "right?" and "ok?" again.
For the most part, he was a good fill in, and I wouldn't have a problem with him doing the nationals in the future.
