Is this the stuff you guys are using? Laundry pre wash spray? I was walking around cvs and saw it then remembered all the people on here who swear by it so I figured I'd give it a shot. Thanks.

Yep that’s it. Usually the grocery store will have refill jugs for the spray bottle too for like $5. Think the refills are big enough to fill the sprayer 3 times

Dual pack of Shout refill jugs at Sam's is the cheapest. Always used it on gear, but never on bikes. Will have to try it.

I always use Mr Clean. But I never rinse the bike first. Doing so will dilute the cleaning spray unless you wait for the bike to completely dry. I spray the entire bike, soak in for a few minutes, dont let it dry!, then rinse. Then get out the wash rag and hand wash everything. Going to try Shout next time to compare. My shit is always clean, weird that way.

I also just took the Shout challenge because of this thread! I've got to say that my bike does look cleaner and I was a simple green guy. I have 165 hours on my bike and it had a noticeable shine to it after the shout. I could really tell on the black wheels as the simple green would leave them looking dull and that is gone with the shout. Shout it is from now on. What I noticed when scrubbing the bike was that the shout formed a thicker almost soapy layer where the simple green does not do that. I will definitely be looking for the refills at Costco as those little spray bottles were $5 each.

Has anyone tried Totally Awesome Orange the dollar stores sell? I thought I heard good things about that stuff. I am not sure if it's corrosive to aluminum or not.

Regular TA in clear bottle is best all around cleaner I have found. Works on bikes, gear, equipment, etc. the wife even steals it for bathroom. Our bikes always look splendid. A engineer on a boat forum I am on did a chemical analysis of it since guys were using it to clean interiors on their $100k boats and found it's almost identical to high end Malco cleaner. I can find the analysis if anyone wants it..............I tried Shout and it didn't seem to work as well........

Was a Simple Green user then switched Mr Clean ala Denny Stephensons (mechanic) dad in the 90’s. Got cheap and went Mean Green from the dollar general buuuttt recently tried Shout and from now on I will not use anything else. Shits fantastic and bikes have never looked better after a wash with so little effort.

Shout should be a sponsor for a SX team.

I took the Shout challenge as well. I have a new '19 350sx that I will use nothing but Shout on. So far I'm very impressed. I still feel that Hondabrite or S100 it the best on raw aluminum of cad plated fasteners but its expensive.

I’ve used it all. I found with shout, it does a good job on plastics but not so much everywhere else. After a red dirt ride, black rims looked clean but wiped after with a rag showed the complete opposite. I don’t hand wash our bikes though. Pressure wash, pump spray, pressure wash, hose flush, Wd40, then sc1. I’ve found Spraying your motor and components with wd40 actuality helps remove scum on the next wash. If I get a used bike I’ll wash it, spray it down with wd40, let it sit for a week then wash it again and there is a big difference.

I’ve found Mean Green to be much better than the Simple Green I used to use. Really works well, but I’ll give the Shout a try just to see.

I always use S100. Why no one vote for that? Back in the 90's we used dirt sqirt
