I think he slows down on purpose just so he can pass them back and make it fun. It really seems that way. Maybe he's bored or being cocky.

He is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key.

The key is that he's french. They can be cocky little bastards.

He said he got tired, and I believe he still suffers from his injuries, but, wtf do I know.

I don't think he's deliberately messing anyone around, its just clever race craft.

I think he gets out front, paces himself until he comes under attack and then picks up the pace if necessary to get the job done.

I have to admit I laughed every single time he looked back over a jump. All 30 times in 4 laps. Laughing But I think he is done for the 2nd moto. He looked beyond gased.

Sounds like the likely reality in this case.

Not only can he go fast on a motorcyle - he also knows how to get that gear off very quickly

I love the kid, fantastic line selection and style, Did you see his line late in the moto on that uphill double? I definitely think his injuries are an issue. All the more impressive it makes him. I can't understand why any hardcore moto fan does not appreciate the kid.

his style is AWSOME, I tought the same watching the race, it seems like he slows down, and when Canard caught him, he sprints agani... But it is curious how he has changed his style , while riding GP's before the back injury when he was battling with Cairoli, he was frequently out of control

he even stated that his stomach is still an issue. i tend to think this may be his 2nd moto holdback.

I think he's past the schooling stage. He's raced all over the world. I'm pretty sure he'll be the one teaching.

Amazes me how people can doubt CP , even after that battle he had with RD last year.....and even though he didn't win the championship....still looked like the fastest rider. And look at what RD is doing now.

CP is going to get schooled......surely you jest kind sir.

Haha.

377 is on another level... I agree with setting a pace until someone catches it then stepping it up a notch to win

Battling with Cairoli? Cairoli beat Pourcel most of the time, Pourcel was just more consistent when he won his title!

The lad who said Pourcel was outta control obviously hasn't a clue, Pourcel was super smooth during the GP's! Facts are facts, and Cairoli generally smoked him, in the three years of racing each other, Cairoli had 46 moto wins to Pourcel's 9!

Pourcel won his title due to his consistency, he won just 4 motos compared to Cairoli's 12 that year... but Cairoli was the one that was frequently outta control, but generally smoked the arrogant Frenchie Smile

Pourcel will be dangerous because he is consistent and smart. He wont ride over his head and will take what he can get. He has as good of a chance to win the 450 titles next year as anyone.

He doesnt do it to mess with people, he does it when he is tired so he can give himself a break.

Hope he gets his health figured out before he moves to the 450's. He will have guys that can run his pace for two whole motos. He cant gas after one and expect to win the title.
