Does KTM have EFI on that yet? I heard rumor they were working on it the 250 Smoker.

I agree Cobra, that is a very nice looking smoker.

KTM outta let you use one for a few months and have a photo shoot of you on it!

Seems DV has a love of 2 strokes. Smart man. Care to share any personal opinions of the 2 stroke vs. 4 stroke?

I agree DV12!! Sweet looking bike! The only Neg thing I see about them is you will need a magnifying glass to see your number on the side plates.

I've been greatly considering the switch to Orange myself, been on Red my whole life since mini's. What KTM is doing seems more consumer minded, whether it is or not they've won me over, however the lack of dealership/parts I always hear about has me debating still.

Just curious as I ride an 09 yz myself. Do you just have the suspension revalved and ride like that or do you do alot of other tinkering to it? I love the stock motor personally but I am not of your level (obviously haha)

My dad revalved the suspensions and put stiffer springs on it. It's pretty good.

do you get any support or hookups from Yamaha still?

I also noticed that RC rides his RM 250 quite a bit at his house also, do pro guys like yourselves have more fun on the 2 strokes since you were basically raised on them?

No deal. I didn't ask Yamaha France for one. I just bought an used 08 YZ250 thru a friend that has a dealership. The guy rode only 10hrs with it. I dont really ask for free stuff anymore since I quit racing. People actually contact me to see if I need something. lol

how does the aluminum frame YZ 250's compare to your factory bikes of the late 90's and early 2000's?

Have you ridden a new KTM 250SX yet?

I have an 02' YZ 250 that has about 10 hours on it in storage. Great bike but the 4 strokes came out strong that year and this bike got shuffled into storage. I want to get it out and have some fun on it but I noticed there is a gap where the pipe meets the motor like it was bent out away where flange meets the motor. Probaly happened when some heavy furnature was leaning against it for awhile. Those bikes are so fun. By the way DV I have one of your original 934 jersey that goes with that bike and even has a little blood from battle left on it. lol

Any of you guys see the 2010 YZ250F with the 125 motor put in it?

Since I lack DV's superior skills small displacement works for me.

Have not been on a KTM150 yet. I would love to ride one though.

Adam, that is the bike I was talking about.

Dam even DV is riding a 2 stroke.....Maybe he is like a lot of us and rides them for fun. Now that I am almost done getting my RM set up I went out on monday and had a freakin blast on that thing ....the first couple rides were akward but it came around and I fuggin love that thing!.....Next time I do buy a bike though It will be one of those KTM's since that will be the only one left but I will keep both my RM's forever! They are great bikes

DV it's obvious you still ride a 2 stroke but like someone asked before, since you don't have to sell the 4 stroke anymore how do you like the 2 stroke compared to the 4 stroke?..... Obviously it's your bike of choice nowadays, seems a lot of current and ex pro's are keeping a smoker in their garage to ride for fun.

TM ..OK what, You`ll never see one of these racing a AMA event, Son rode the 144 for a while but support dried up..AMA events just do not have the class of a GP with the exotic machinery.

The real question Da-vid is:

Can you do good goon on the bike? If not, you might try the 300.

I thought for sure I was going to trade in my well dialed in 250SX/ 300SX for a new 350F this season but I'm starting to doubt it.

I suspect I'd turn faster lap times on the 350F but I just enjoy the flickability of my 300SX so much I'd rather just build a new generation one I think.

My ported cylinder and modded carb will actually just bolt right on to the 2011 SX as well. It also doesn't hurt that MSRP is $2K less on the 250SX!

My 300SX weighs an actual 210# ready to ride. Weighed my '05 CRF450 w/ an almost empty tank right next to it, 242#.
