It wasn't planned. Borrowed a 2019 YZF250/boots/helmet/goggles/gloves and rode in sweats/hoodie. Last time I rode was in France on a YZ250 in October 2015...

the funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it

2/13/2019 11:58 AM

Why did you stop for so long and are you hurting today?

|

Damn DV!!! Looking good for not riding in 4 years. Hope to see you riding more.

Very cool David. Hope you stick with it , and just have fun with it. More to riding bikes then racing hard core. A lot of fun to just ride em'.

And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A super high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

do you compare this bike with the factory bikes you rode in the 2000's ? also the 250 2stroke ..curious about you thoughts ..

|

2/13/2019 2:50 PM

Very cool.

Myself, just spinning uncontrollably into my 60's yet still an addict for most things two wheel, and then throw in a prep'd track and I'm there at my weakest.
Yet! Over the past 45 years ive had 4 seperate breaks where i hadnt touched a bike in 18 or more months...and like DV one was more than 3 years. None of them were due to injury but from some attitude and out of control chasing my tail shit.

How's that even happen to our kind DV?!?

|

2/13/2019 3:13 PM

You need to ride more often. Screw Hammertime!

I was G before the "moto drive" to Vital

2/13/2019 3:20 PM

Ha. Thought this was just a random post from joe blow. Watched the vid and thought holy smokes, this kid has mad skills. Then noticed who posted and it suddenly all made sense...

Awesome man.

Top 5, easy.

|

2/13/2019 3:42 PM

Have those freaking bolts ever won a race before?

|

2/13/2019 3:45 PM

I’ve got a set of DV12 gear I could sell you...lol.

Always amazes me how you fast guys never seem to get “slow”. Good times!

Nice! "We can work with speed."
Imagine if straight rythem was around when DV was in his prime especially that first year with like 100 whoops.
Of coarse you railed the turns too though.

|

I don't have to be as smart as you hope to be some day anymore. wink

2/13/2019 5:33 PM

Just like riding a bi..... oh wait

|

2/13/2019 5:49 PM

Looks comfortable!

|

2/13/2019 6:33 PM

Get a bike dv

|

2/13/2019 6:33 PM

I’ll pick u up

|

2/13/2019 6:34 PM

But for real you should keep riding, the most frustrating feeling is at the 5 year mark of not riding consistently it starts to go away somewhat

|

2/13/2019 6:44 PM

I see your out having fun and such, but shouldn't you be making MM25 skimming whoops instead!! ?

|

2/14/2019 5:34 AM

Awesome. It's hard for us normal folks to understand how someone could go a year without riding, or even lose interest in riding. Almost as hard as it is for us to realize when you've been top level pro speed, there is a whole other level of ability and knowledge us mortals just never will understand.

Another poster asked, and I'd love to hear your answer too, how does the bike you rode compare in your mind to a factory 125 of 15 years ago?

|

2/14/2019 6:21 AM

When you've ridden as much as DV has, you never loose it, it's always there! Just putting your boots, gloves, helmet and googles on, puts you in the zone!!!
