Too much fake news this year. Have had enough 2020.

I like dirt bikes. Here’s my fleet. Let’s see yours.
Note: disregard filthy garage.

Interesting you own both KTM and Husky. The bikes are so different I thought it would be polarizing. Nice fleet.

Gonna be adding a new husky TX 300 in the spring. Other than that, got the yard yard bike, my 2 year olds PW and my 6 year olds CRF50 and KTM50. Oh, and of course I had to include the best pup in the world!

They really are different. I bought all of these new (‘14 150 SX/ ‘17 TC250/ ‘19 FC350) and the Husky offering wasn’t yet proven IMO at the time of 150 purchase. Had a ‘19 KTM450 for awhile also. I like the feel of the Husky much better.

If in the market for a 150, I’d buy a TC125 and a big bore kit to replace at top end time.

I like dirt bikes too...a lot. I’ve just gotten too old & slow now to justify having more than one, that hardly gets any use at all nowadays.

Dirt scooters are the coolest! kinda funny if you go back just 7 months ago there were no motorcycles in my garage. Maybe 2020 ain’t all that bad after all...

Temporarily dirt bike-less...sold my KX450 and my daughters CRF on Saturday. Daughter isn’t sure if she wants to ride anymore. I do, but hurt my wrist at the start of August and something still isn’t right. Taking the fall/winter off and will figure out what to ride next in the spring...thinking about a white or orange KTM 350. I’ve been a 450 guy since the first CRF, but I think I’ve hit a point where that much power is riding me instead of the other way around.

I do still have my 78 CR living room decoration and my street toy...

I only have this bike currently. But I’m gonna try and add a 110L to the mix maybe next summer.

The sound of those RC51 is enough to make me want to buy one. Haven't seen one for sale that isn't a roached-out wheelie victim.

They’re getting pretty hard to find nice ones, and when you do, wow are they pricey.

You aren’t kidding. I looked for one for a loooong time. Found this one, all stock other than suspension tuning, original owner with 8400 miles. 7000.00. I about hit the floor. Fortunately he held it for me, otherwise I was calling in sick the next day lol...

I put a set of Yosh slip-ons on it, new tires, and new fluids all the way around. Otherwise keeping it stock, other than possibly gearing it down from the bonneville salt flats gearing that comes on them (78 in first, lol)... I don’t think I’ve ever ridden a bike that makes me smile like this.

Only other thing I’d love to do is swap the yoshis for a set of Satos, but those are like hens teeth to find and priced accordingly.

Sad that we have a debbie downer who feels the need to downvote people’s bikes in a totally positive post.

Hahaha don't let that shit bother you. Life's too short. The fact that down voters get to be anonymous erases any validity of it anyway. LaughingLaughing

My two best friends are killing me lately. One has an NSR250 and the other has a GSXR400. I haven’t ridden the NSR yet but the 400 is one of the coolest bikes I’ve ever ridden. Silky smooth and revs to the moon.

If you saw my garage you'd be drooling. You should really ride a Honda vfr400 or better yet a rvf400. You'll forget all about that gixxer. But then again if you rode one of the 250 smokers properly unrestricted you'd forget about the 400's.

My friends 95 rvf400 the gear driven cams make a sweet distinctive sound when revved up.
My 90 nsr250 it has this aftermarket fairing that looks like the 04/05 cbr600rr.

Is that the oval piston version? Carbon body? One year model?

No that’s the NR750. Those are selling for really big money.

Like JBecker said, you’re thinking of the NR750.

RC51 (aka RVT1000R US/VTR1000 elsewhere) was a 1000cc, V-Twin sportbike Honda made from 00-06, with 02 (or 03, can’t recall) to 06 generally being regarded as the better years. The root of the bike is (as I understand it) the fact that in that era, World Superbike rules were that an inline 4 was limited to 750cc, while V-Twins were allowed 1000cc. Ducati started winning with their twin, so HRC sought to try to de-throne them. The RC51 was the result and was in some ways a homologation special. The cases have “HRC” cast in, etc, although that may be marketing as much as anything.

As far as a stock bike, the 954’s, etc outsold them and the bike was eventually discontinued (06’s like mine are leftover/rebadged 05’s). It’s not the fastest, lightest or anything, but they do have a cult status and they are just different. I had a 954 years ago that I was talked into buying instead of the RC I intended to buy. Now that I’ve ridden the RC I wish I wouldn’t have been swayed to the 954. Way more fun and the sound is magic.
