I just can't get into the fantasy thing

I have played a little years ago and been playing every week but I just don't get the fascination with it. I find it more of a annoying hassle to pick guys honestly and really I just don't care. I love the sport and follow it in every aspect but I don't know I just can't get into this.

It’s because you aren’t any good at it. My winnings over the years are well over 10K in cash and Ebay sales of merchandise. It’s the only thing that keeps my interest in the races once the injuroes deplete the field or a title gets wrapped up

Im the same way, love the sport with all my heart but just cant get into fantasy stuff, never could. Tried way back in the day, just not my thing.

I don't understand why people get so into it.

I find it VERY annoying when people are talking about their fantasy crap in the real race thread. I think a separate thread for fantasy race talk should be started each week.

The closest I ever came to a fantasy league is watching "The League".

This is my first time doing any league and the RM fantasy deal is easy, but I just can't believe how bad I am at it.

The one week I missed doing my picks and it rolled over (not eligible for weekly prizes with roll-over picks) was the best week I have had so far.

I have won so many prizes in fantasy games in the last decade from helmets to chains and sproket kits to stacks of cash. Lots of t shirts. FLW fishing started it for me. One year they gave away 10 million for the season and free entry. I got numerous 50$ gift cards to walmart by finishing like 500th place. I had friends who had no clue about fishing playing like crazy.
Lol I Won the 2nd ever Vital fantasy league, ALphado won the first ever. I won the Vital fantasy football league 3 out of last 4 years.
I told my buddy who never has any luck to play draft kings and he won 122k first try. Not much since. I play about 3 3$ games on draft kings every few weeks if i remember to and been up a few hundred since starting about 2 years ago.
Its fun and a lot of fantasy leagues are free but have awesome prizes. Keeps it interesting and adds something extra to the races and makes you notice guys at the back of the pack more as well.

That's a shame your shit at it or don't have any friends to play with? It's fun with a good crew with group chat going on. Offers much shit slinging and a different aspect than just watching to see who wins.

That stress levels when one of your guys is one spot out of qualifying in the lcq is immense.

It used the be much easier to win prizes until the industry started to play. Very hard to compete with mechanics etc that in the pits every week getting up to the date scoops on who’s ill, hurting or struggling with setups. Seems to me it’s a huge conflict of interest... who know the whole Pete Rose thing about betting On baseball. It’s not right that you can be turning wrenches for the riders you are picking for your teams

Can’t pick your team until Friday because if maintenance Etc. Heaven forbid you want to see how your team scored after he race. That is available a few days later. I will probably forget this experience by next year and sign up again.

I used to love getting on the DMXS chat room and chatting it up with the guys, and sharing our picks with one another, especially during the nationals. It was a blast. Then motosport messed up the game for a season and I lost contact with all of them, the chat room is gone, the games are different. It is amazing that everything gets better but some things on the internet are nowhere near as cool as they were 10 years ago.
I signed up for the RM fantacy MX. I only played it once maybe twice. I only get to pick the top 4 of the 450's and some random place down the line. That's not fun at all compared to playing the motosport game from the past.

Did it for a few years straight and it ruined my ability to sit back and enjoy watching the race.

Played Motocross Fantasy.com and RM fantasy. Motocross Fantasy was fun, but it was like a second job keeping up with it and making educated pics. I couldn't get into Rocky Mountain.
