That's awesome news man! even though I took quite a bit of time off myself , I'm glad I got back into it again. After about 5-1/2 years off , I have lost quite a bit of my mojo , but at least I'm having some fun. Glad to hear you got a new bike coming. Have fun and stay safe.

Welcome back!

All I can tell you is that you will need to be very careful, I got the chance to ride a 2012 KTM250Sx last Sunday!

My friend that owns it's said that I should check it out, But it only had 5hrs on it! I was reluctant to try it out being so new.

He also said the take it easy on the brakes, as they really strong. I said that I have a KTM 525 & I know about the brake on a KTM being strong!

I'll tell you that I'm not a 250 rider & I was trying not to starch his new bike, but that thing is a ROCKET!

It turns like a dream & is very easy to jump.

BTW:

I did lock up the rear brake & stall it, I forgot it only about 217lbs...Lite bike Big strong brakes = fast stopping or stalling the bike.

You will love the bike, I did & I only rode it for 10 minutes!

If you not already on KTMTalk.com you need to be, so much info that you can use to keep you bike running well

I have had a KTM150sx and a Ktm200xc so I know what to expect from a KTM. I am so excited. I mean I have dicked around in the yard a little bit but the last time I rode on a track was the first RC School in March of 2010.

i'm super jealous. i'm trying to get rid of my CRF 450 so i can do the same and get a '12 KTM 250 stroker

Congrats! Would have bought one myself if I could have found one. Always next year.

Hopefully the crushing overdemand for them has taught KTM something. Maybe the other mfgs learned something from it too, as excess 2011 4Ts collect dust in the showrooms.

Firend of mine took his 2012 KTM250sx on it's maiden voyage last weekend. Man that thing sounds good! Have fun!
