I didnt see a post about him but who else thought he rode a good race? I think he will be in the points battle this year. I was happy for him. He seems like a good guy and has great style.

BT was on the gas. As soon as he gets back into "race shape", he'll be a contender.

I thought he looked pretty good! Ran in second in the second moto for awhile until he made a mistake... Looked pretty good for not racing in two years.

Yeah no doubt. I like BT alot. He had some hairy moments there though, maybe not quite use to the pace after being off that long. I hope he has some wins though!

He looked really good, , after watching the 2nd moto, wow there was a few scary moments for him, he got very sideways a few times, and saved it.

good luck to Ben Townley , at the USGP and US Nationals

His speed looked awesome and he looks to have the drive to go after it. Only thing bad I can say was he looked out of control allot. I'm sure that's just rust from not being in a national paced race for awhile. I'm sure he'll work that out. All in all I think it was an impressive debut after 2 years off and I think if he survives these first few nationals while he smoothes out I think he's going to be up there battling for podiums and wins every week.

He looked like he was on the verge of crashing every time they showed him.

He did show flashes of brilliance. Hopefully he can stay healthy and continue to improve.

By his own admission, Ben can use a little fitness for the end of motos (he said he got in ten days of riding before the start of the season after recovering from the bar-to-gut internal injuries), but he's really pleased that his speed is there.

BT is Hondas best bet for championship, and once he gets his speed back he will be faster than the whole lot!

I heard Ben was recovering from a tear to his inards... I would imagine that would make it hard to train, but wtf do I know?

Exactly. He hasn't been back riding long. There is no way he's near 100%.
