I CALLED IT!, I CALLED IT!

DMG Quote “So our goal is to try to build this sport to a point where there are professional teams who are sponsored and who have an entity of their own, much like Richard Childress Racing is in NASCAR. And that’s not just in AMA road racing, that needs to be true across the board. If it comes down to operational issues, obviously I think road racing first and everything else second.”

Since no one gave me props on my genius and unbelievable insight, I thought I would pat myself on the back....plus I'm bored and you guys crack me up. :D

Have a nice evening!

All signs point to Gatorback by 2010 or earlier.....Plus since DMG is HQ'd in Florida it would make sennse to bring a race to the Home state.

Guess you didn't realize people have been saying this since the JGR team was announced last year?

I personally don't care how much money or exposure the sport gets because I fund my own racing and just love riding and racing. However, it would suck and the sport would lose its credibility if there were supposed motocross races on the infield of Nascar tracks. SX is ok there, mx must be held on real mx tracks.

The downside is that the sport may lose some of its accessibility,by that I mean what other professional racing venue can you go and talk to riders, team managers etc so freely??.

MX doesn't need to get any bigger.
It has enough Jackasses already.

Go to an NHRA sometime.

If SXMX loses some arrogance and stops promoters from competing with it's own teams because of this DMG deal, the sport just grew up.

The one thing that no one has mentioned is NASCAR's nasty little habit of poaching or bleeding team sponsors.

How many "new" sponsor name changes for the original Winston....mean Nextel.....mean Sprint Cup. Thought there was one between Winston/Nextel as well; can't remember.
Then each race; the Subway 500, Save Mart 300. Interstate Batteries, etc.
Then the cars themselves....

Man can these guys come up with sponsors.

Sprint bought Nextel, that's the only reason that name changed

BIKES ARE WATERCOOLED???????????????????

No it is my second day. My first day I just watched.

But now I know why when I say "I have a good idea" my wife replies "Now what Captain Obvious".

If you have any other questions...Let em rip.
