Husky frames should be white and KTM frames should be orange. The fact that the 2019 production bikes differ from this is puzzling.

I vote blue for Husky, orange for KTM.

100% agree.

The fact Husky went to the blue frame for 2019 is such a step back.

Could be wrong but I think I heard husky and ktm go to different color frames whenever it is the first year of a brand new model. Ktm is orange this year because this is the first year for their latest model, same for husky. I think it’s bad ass and I don’t even ride either brand

KTM was orange in '18 and it was the last year of that frame design. Someone pointed out to me that they always switch the color on the last year of the frame design. If thats the case we should see a few years of black, then an orange, then a new frame in black. On the husky side of things I'm not sure.

Will 2019.5 husky frame be white?

Buy the more expensive bike to get the better frame color?

It's not even a bright blue.. might as well be gray.

Husqvarna is very particular about the shade of blue they use.

I thought huskys were supposed to have silver frames with red/maroon tanks and raw/polished knee areas.

I personally like the white better. Last weekend up at the 125 race , during the " show and shine " there was an 18' sitting next to a new 19'.. I must have spent an hour comparing both these bikes ...like literally every single bolt , curve of the frame , body work..... every thing.

I have to say.....I liked the looks of the 18' better. I even tried to pick Emig's brain on the difference between these two bikes. His response was " I haven't spent 1 second on a 2019 model......but I'd go with s 19' because it's a new model ".

Which made me wonder......why the hell would you tell me to buy the 19' , when you yourself haven't even ridden one yet?

Whole different topic here.....but seeing these new Husky 2 strokes with 4 stroke body work and swingarm......is it really better for these bikes? Or is this a way to save costs?

I left Washougal with more questions in my head , then I did before I got there.

^^^ I really don't mind the blue. I'm sure it looks even better in person. Those yellow fork guards on the other hand need to go. Black or white fork guards would look better.

The '19 has many improvements and I like the blue frame, no regrets getting mine. Worst case Jeffro, get the '19 frame powder coated or painted. It makes perfect sense to use the same bodywork.

It was rumored that KTM used the orange frame on the last model before the new models came out. I’ve also heard that they used the orange frame because there weren’t many other significant changes on particular year models. Now I’m reading this Haha I’m not sure an orange frame is indicative of anything, I think it’s just aesthetics

On an unrelated note, I think those split number plates ruin the look of the bike. They look like they are falling off. I actually prefer the old plastics-even the shrouds. Jmo

Well....I do prefer the look of the 18' frame and body work. But I seriously don't even know what I'm getting yet. I have a shop willing to sell me a 19' Kawi 450 for a little over $8,000. I'm in no hurry now , since the weather is about to go belly up!

Funny this just popped up. The last frame I did was a 2017 husky 450. Getting our 2018 tc125 powder coated semi gloss black. 008 I think? Will check when I pick it up

I found the opposite- the blue frame looks great to me in photos but doesn't look so great in person.

Comparing 2018 to 2019 there was a Big change in the cooling system. The 2018 Factory Edition/Rockstar Edition had the jump on it.

Hated the blue when they came out. (Have an 18 tc 250). Hated the blue when I loaded my new 21 fc350 in my trailer yesterday at the dealers. I’m going to strip it down over the winter and have it powder coated or painted. Just not a fan. White or even grey I’d take.
