I noticed the timeless "H" logo has been changed on the bikes in the '18 line-up. Is Husky/KTM shedding the old "iron sights" triple prongs on the top of the logo?

Earth-shattering if so, and I'm surprised no one has brought it up by now. I'm usually last to the party.

So do you like the new one or should they go back?

They still use the "old" on the fork guard and silencers, so it's just design choice. I personally think they should include the triple prongs for sure!

Ya I saw all the small logos, like those you mention as well as handlebar pad and side case covers, still have the prongs. Maybe this is how they transition? Today the shrouds, tomorrow all of them! It's a travesty I tell ya!

Husqvarna Motorcycles (or KTM) doesn't actually own the trademark, so maybe they are transitioning... I doubt it though.

I'm a gun enthusiast and small time collector. I knew of Husqvarna's heritage in firearms but didn't realize those are iron sights on the logo. That is awesome! I like Husqvarna even more now.

From their website...
"The symbol being the Husqvarna logo is referring to our gunsmithing history. To the right you see the oldest form as the hallmark of a passed musket, symbolizing the sight over the barrel. You see also the modern version indicating that Husqvarna is still keeping the future in sight."

The Logo is important. They had a motorcycle factory in the old firearms factory in Huskvarna, that was ordered by the King. Check the heritage on the website.

Bro, take some Pepto for your belly aching. The logo is still on the silencer and front fork guards...

I feel the person responsible for this should be sent to a farm in Sweden to shovel manure.

The logo on the shrouds are a little big but they didnt change anything. The same old logo is still on the fork guards.

I don't get the point of having a random H there when you already have a logo. Why not just use the logo?...

I hope Suzuki doesn't do that to the S or Barnett will be pissed.

Not to go off topic but turning left his chest would be on the clamps, and right turn throttle hand against leg especially in a rut and he's twisting and clutching and throwing roost

But, I could be wrong.

electrolux sold husky to cagiva in 86ish. the 87s i raced were the last made in Sweden.

actually raced 86ers till 87 models came in.

electrolux kept the trademark as i recall.

Its not random. The H was added to represent forward thinking by the company.

Nice, I had a RISING SUN vented jersey I wore on my new 78RM80, but I guess it went wherever my old photos went.
