Really good interview by the Swap Moto guys with Hunter. He had one comment that interested me regarding turns and the rider set up for corners at National's tracks versus the GPs. He mentioned that American tracks riders tend to hit them harder the inside which creates lots of ruts. In the GPs he said that they start outside and come to the inside of a corner to maintain speed. Hunter is a really good interview and intelligent. Reminds me of AC.

Hunter's comments about how American riders ride vs how GP riders ride is basically why USA got spanked at Red Bud MXdN in a nut shell.. Most GP guys tend to ride a gear higher and stay on top of the dirt rather than berm blasting.

And you don't post the video? What's wrong with you?

I thought it has already been posted.

It is indeed an excellent interview, I am even a bigger fan now. As you said, very well spoken like AC.

That’s not the interview this was discussed in; Hunter talked about it in a podcast we posted yesterday. I’ll add the link below...

And yeah it was good to hear from a rider that has raced in both series say how it develops and the way the lines form differently. His comments about MXGP lines tend to be more road-race style with early braking and flowing, wider lines explains a lot. It’ll be interesting to see how Hunter’s technique develops over the years, because he knows it’s going to change in some ways just out of necessity.

Thanks for listening!

Yes he's impressive. Humble and well spoken. He got here the hard way and wasn't born into wealth. American or not, I'm rooting for the kid along with AC and Ferrandis. They're good dudes. Damn they know how to ride and they put on a show that is fun to watch.
