We all saw the RC v JS era and RC came out on top due to his pressure on James and his intense fitness level and desire to win . How do you think RV would go with the kind of same style and hunger to win and with his fitness he has now.

X2. I seriously doubt RV would have been the same threat that James was. RC wouldn't have had to use RV to beat RV like he did with James. I'd say James was RC's toughest competitor. And I have all the respect in the world for RV.

Go back and watch Ricky's 100th win outdoors. The dude hounded James for a little while then dropped him like a rock. I don't think James was that deep into RC's head to consider retirement.

While I think it is much to early in Ryan's career to be comparing him to James, RC, or Jeremy. I think it is definately to early to make these kind of statements about him also. So far he has had a good record when he isn't injured, but he needs have a few years to prove he is in the top tier of all-time. Give him a chance and he will show us all where he belongs. I'm sure at one time stupid people were making statements about RC carrying MC's jock strap.Wink

I think RV now, with the fitness from Baker, is now at the level where he could've competed with RC.

Lets not forget, Reed was always right there with Carmichael in Supercross. Carmichael wasn't exactly spectacular in Supercross. I thought the same with RV up until now.. He's really turned his Supercross skills around.

Yep, people forget that RV is not a supercross specialist and he is hanging with Bubba and beating him. Lets not forget, RV is an OUTDOOR specialist (like RC was). Remember how far he was back from Alessi in 09 at Glen Helen and he caught up to him and then rode out with just a couple laps left. I have a feeling that we will all be blown away by RV come May.

Hold on kid!!!

RV has not completed a 450 series yet. 0-4. Right now he has done nothing in this sport. Sorry, Lites titles and exhibition races to not count.

RV is more like Pastrana than anyone else.

Ha! That's laughable. Sure RV has spent a large amount of time on the sidelines due to injuries, but to say he's done nothing in this sport cheapens anything else you say. RV is a beast.

wow, James has a bit of a rough start and people are calling RV the next RC and fastest man on the planet?
I am not going to say too much about the way Stewart has been riding so far, because people are just going to say they are excuses. But he does not look like himself yet.

As for RV, he is riding awesome! I am also an RV fan, and a team Kawasaki fan and I want him to do well. And I do think is is the closest to Stewart, but I think a few people are jumping the gun.

It would have been the same scenario. RV is as fast as both of those guys. He just needs to finish the season (moto and sx) to be considered with the all time greats though.

RV is a badass. Lites titles mean nothing. Dude got spanked by a rookie (Canard) in the lites. Got lucky against BT101 in a outdoor battle.

RV was one of the best Lites rider ever .(Maybe top 5) BUT!!, Lengend is based on what you do in the big bike class.

Big Bike 4 RV 0.
