Colt had a pretty good SX season and was right about where I hoped he would be. Not really sure where to put him outdoors. Seems like it's not where he excels. I guess top 5?

Thoughts?

I don't know about faster but top contenders...
Ferrandis
Cianciarulo
Amart
Cooper
Sexton
McElrath
Smith
Lawrence
Drake

Possibly even more potential top guys. It's a heavy hitting 250 class this summer!

I don't really know. I don't recall ever noticing him outdoors. Faster than Hampshire, not as fast as Amart I guess is what comes to mind for whatever reason.

Hampshire won Budds and was 2nd at Ironman last year. Nichols had a 3rd at Ironman in 2017. But if we look at the past 2 seasons overall, RJ has much better results outdoors. So saying Colt is faster, no way.

RJ is probably the biggest underdog in the 250 outdoor mix. He took a leap late last year and if he can just keep it on 2 wheels I think he will really surprise. He's much better in MX than SX.

Not sure where the "he isn't as good outdoors" talk comes from, I can't remember one of his SX results before this year, but he's had some awesome outdoor rides that had me wondering, "wait, who is that?" I think Glen Helen last year was good for him, that sticks out in my mind at least. He and Harrison both struck me as guys who were so close to putting it together and being serious contenders.

Covington and Hampshire not on list?
Forkner and Jmart would of been title threats but they are out.
Anyone of these guys could win a moto and then be out of the top 10 next moto. Class is stacked> Will be a great summer !
Ferrandis could be a double champ..

Not shit talking Hampshire. My thought was just that hes been around for a while and he is what he is. Colt has finally put it all together so I feel like he'll be better than he has been.

I mentioned Hampshire in a comment above! haha. I said probably even more that I didn't list. I wouldn't be mad if Ferrandis doubled down this year!

I think and hope that CN has shaken the injury bug. But I agree that Hartraft has potential. I think that guy is building and hope he earns a star ride then goes from there.
