The Shop
The rider has bikes to train on but he is not on a team yet.....but he will be.
Not late but...... just in time for serious East lights training. "He" normally trains with Dungey in Florida so this will greatly reduce his costs by keeping him local to home base. He will be picking up Blue practice bikes this week and his JGR bike is in the works.
correct....Hes got it on his face book. Its not that the Barbara deal fell threw but this came along.
He had a sponsor pay for this practice track and access (riders) is regulated by the sponsors discretion to keep wear and tear down.
This Wed is going to be 50 and sunny.....I plan on going to TNT in the afternoon after checking out the SX track.
This is starting to sound real good!
Pit Row
Any one have an extra $200k they need to write off to help him along for the year?
Reguardless, its cool that Les is going to have his own track on his property in SC
That's all we're doing here - same as everyone else right now - the "supercross team" is just him - and we're doing all we can to help him get his "shot" at the big time - no different than lots and lots of parents out there. Les has worked his tail off for years and years just to get a shot at the pro ranks - we have him licensed, credentialed, and signed up for the East Coast - now he has a GREAT track to practice on cause we were having to spend each night begging someone to let him come and ride the next day - rest assured these "troubled times" have done nothing but fuel his fire - again probably no different than several others like him - we will just do all we can and let him prove it on the track - #1 goal right now is to make sure when he's 35 he will not have regrets - he can know that he tried his hardest, won a few, lost a few - but got his shot. Some people may think that if he is not the next "Ricky Carmichael" then he has failed - never in my eyes - I have a very responsible, honest, hardworking nineteen year old who graduated from high school last spring, never considers drinking, smoking pot, etc - and I still know where he is every Saturday night, cause he has me at the track taking lap times.......gotta love that!
Thanks, Lumpy, for BELIEVING!
good luck to Les and all the other guys out there tryin to make it.
I hope that some of these riders today realize that they may not make racing as a career and focus on a future with a college education and a career in/outside the industry.
