Screw bikes, parts and 18 wheelers.......Here is your 1st tool and major expense.

Not funded by us but this is a new riders personal track that is being built.

Although the track looks pretty good, starting a supercross team is all about bike, parts, a good transport truck and the single most important thing is lot'$ of money.

You need $2,000,000 to lose $1,000,000

And with out the money to build and maintain the track, the bikes that allow you to train and the parts to keep those bikes running?

Sorry to be so vague but at this time he is all I can directly say. Hype? You better "believe it".

Not late but...... just in time for serious East lights training. "He" normally trains with Dungey in Florida so this will greatly reduce his costs by keeping him local to home base. He will be picking up Blue practice bikes this week and his JGR bike is in the works.

correct....Hes got it on his face book. Its not that the Barbara deal fell threw but this came along.

He had a sponsor pay for this practice track and access (riders) is regulated by the sponsors discretion to keep wear and tear down.

This Wed is going to be 50 and sunny.....I plan on going to TNT in the afternoon after checking out the SX track.

Could it be that JGR will be doing his motor & suspension for his race bike?

Any one have an extra $200k they need to write off to help him along for the year?

A track has very very little to do with starting a team. There are multiple tracks to ride and train for the top level.

Reguardless, its cool that Les is going to have his own track on his property in SC

Come on guys...........surely someone wants to help a three-time Loretta Lynn Champion realize his dream.......... SmileSmile

That's all we're doing here - same as everyone else right now - the "supercross team" is just him - and we're doing all we can to help him get his "shot" at the big time - no different than lots and lots of parents out there. Les has worked his tail off for years and years just to get a shot at the pro ranks - we have him licensed, credentialed, and signed up for the East Coast - now he has a GREAT track to practice on cause we were having to spend each night begging someone to let him come and ride the next day - rest assured these "troubled times" have done nothing but fuel his fire Smile - again probably no different than several others like him - we will just do all we can and let him prove it on the track - #1 goal right now is to make sure when he's 35 he will not have regrets - he can know that he tried his hardest, won a few, lost a few - but got his shot. Some people may think that if he is not the next "Ricky Carmichael" then he has failed - never in my eyes - I have a very responsible, honest, hardworking nineteen year old who graduated from high school last spring, never considers drinking, smoking pot, etc - and I still know where he is every Saturday night, cause he has me at the track taking lap times.......gotta love that!

Thanks, Lumpy, for BELIEVING!

Les has def. put in ALOT of time and hard work, I say people notice that and would hook him up with a ride along with othersbut unfortunately there isn't the sponsors/money to support the talent pool

good luck to Les and all the other guys out there tryin to make it.

I hope that some of these riders today realize that they may not make racing as a career and focus on a future with a college education and a career in/outside the industry.

Sounds like you achieved a great amount of assistance already for Les. He seems to have more at his disposal than most privateers and many small team efforts. Good job and good luck.
