Does anyone have experience in getting more chassis flex on an RMZ450 (2011), the chassis feels very stiff, l wanted to try some flex to confirm my feelings.

10% less torque on all the motor mounts/hanger bolts

Out here in the fields, I fight for my meals. I get my back into my living. I don't need to fight, to prove I'm right. I don't need to be forgiven.

Swap out the rigid aluminum frame for a 2004 RM250 steel frame.

drill holes in the frame

There are two kinds of people against dirt bikes, those who never tried and those who weren't good at them.

Shift up.

Remove the bottom bolt from each side of the large engine mounts where the bolt to the farm, it works awesome. Or machine down the engine mounts themselves.

The RMZ frames are stiff.

As Rotaholic said, remove a bolt from the upper engine hangers. This will make the most noticeable change. Alternatively you can modify the mounts at the top and lower front of the engine. Either drilling holes or machine them thinner.

Soft seat foam and Renthal Fatbars (or equivilant) help soften the feel of the bike a little too. Keep using the stock triples and ensure the pinch bolts to the fork aren't over tightened and torqued to spec as well,

Do not remove any bolts from any of the hangers. Loosen them but have them be at snug fit.

Rmz frames are meant to be ridden hard and fast. I like stiffer frames as it gets me to set up better at load when coming out of turns into faces, but what works for one guy usually never works for the next. So really you just have to play around with settings. There is a lot that contributes to flex but only so much you can do to try and lessen the fact.

I’m on my 5th RM-Z 450, about to get my 6th. Removing the bolt is fine...... done it on everyone of them

Do what 'the man' did, he put lead in the frame cradle.

Run it with out a skid plate (for Moto only)
- it turns even better and has a little bit more flex
