1,000,000?
2,000,000?
Let’s say there was a way to get 10,000 people to donate $100 each, it could be feaseable. What are your thoughts?

The kind your neighbors secretly want in their basement too.

My thoughts are there is no way in hell I’m giving a guy with 20 million in the bank a hundred bucks so he can races his motorcycle. I hope that the 10,000 other people that you want doing it sees my way of thinking. How about pooling all that money and using to help people that need it instead of giving it to a guy who is board?

On top of that, let's just remember he didn't ask for anything.
And already raises quite a bit of money each year for St Jude's.
If he wants to race bad enough he will find a way. A few weeks ago he showed at the indoor track we ride in WI. He’s doing well, cut some hot laps with us mortals and seems like he’s in a good place.
If he was gonna do it, that would have been it. Its gotta be hard but the reasons why he quit still exist.

@Uptitie is on to something. I don’t know Dungey’s net worth, but I guess it’s substantial. I’ve always been a huge Dungey fan, and my guess is he wouldn’t need to ride for money, and if so he would just be a cheap mf, which I would never think of the dude.
My guess is that if he make a comeback he would do it because he believes he would be competitive and thusly wants to be on competitive equipment, and not to provide some kind of clown show just to squeeze our a few dollars more.
My take on people doing something purely out of money: They will never be particularly good at it! That goes not only for MX, but for all sports and all enterprises a human could potentially give a go at.
It would be seriously cool though if he made a comeback, because he is at the top tier of history’s greatest MX:ers ever.
Like instead of The Joker Lane you go into a Dungeon? Kinda like a penalty-box dealio ? I like it. Let’s do it.
I have seen some pretty dumb threads over the years. But the idea that we should crowd fund a multi-millionaire so we can watch him ride a dirt bike again is right up there.
The year is 2035. E-bikes are king and Dungey's still in shape. A user named "numba5folyf3" starts a thread from his iPhone 25 titled "Making SX great again". Numba's objective is simple, to raise enough funds to bring back the golden rod and to relive the era that once was. The GoFund me is launched, the funds are raised, the bikes are built and the dream shall never die....
