I'm more interested in how much $ they have into the bike to get it from bone stock to A1.

I think a very good privateer/small team bike will be about 5-7 hp up on peak. Nothing over stock in the bottom and maybe 2-3hp over stock in the midrange

The PC/Geico bikes won't be so much more at top end in my opinion maybe 1-2hp. But the development they put in will produce a much stronger curve on the usable range. I would think they will be a good 3-5hp up in the mid range over stock, 1-2hp up on bottom and with very good suspension every ounce of that power is getting put down.

There has been a lot of privateers and smaller team bikes out dragging the PC/Geico to the first turn. But the combination of excellent power, suspension, grip and riders takes the big 2 to the top more often than not.

remember seeing that PC offered less in $$ than others but made up for it with what the team brought to the table. Seems I remember seeing $30k base + bonuses...... wonder what the bonus $$ was from Monster for taking a drink while on the podium?

Did anyone see tomac easily clear the triple from the inside line in his heat race? Meanwhile, everyone else hitting the inside was double doubling that section.

And people said the Factory Connection bikes wouldn't be as good once they decided to stop using PC....

That's 2 for 2 without PC so far.

I've been thinking the same thing since after watching SLC. I like the PC riders, but I am 'super pumped' to see another team give it to PC. They been on the top long enough. Geico changed quite a bit this year and sometimes small changes can really screw people. Regardless, I was glad to see Geico have a clean sweep in supercross this year.

I think the FC 250s make about 47; the PC 310s make around 60 or so.

That seems a bit extreme. You really think they are making 18-20 more hp than stock 32-34hp motor??? That is like a 53% increase in overall power, I would believe the 42-45 range

On my dyno my 250s make 46 hp using renegade sx4+ gieco uses a fuel from renegade that makes a bit more power .a stock crf 250 on pump gas makes between 37.5& 38 hp on the mxa dyno the 250s i have done would be showing over 48 hp.We are really stretching the power on these 250s and i think its going to be very dificult to get past 46 hp from a 250 on the dyno im using. The honda engineers building the moto 3 engines for road racing have also expressed that its going to be dificult to see much over 45 hp and thats with full down draft heads and 14000 rpm limits and open exhaust.

So we have spent the last 11 years advancing the sport to arrive at factory equipped high dollar machines with motors that cost as much as my house. In the end making the same power and weigh about the same as.......

you got it around 46 hp but the 2 stroke has around 5 #s more torque maybe with fuel injection the oems will start producing them again although i feel the 4 stroke is eazyer to ride.
