So My dad has given me the opportunity to possibly get a brand new bike and I was just curious what you guys think I could sell my 125 for. It's been completely rebuilt and the parts list on the bike is pretty long. Please leave your opinion on what I could sell it for!

Used bike, $1900.00. Nice though! Find someone wanting a nice 125 and you might get $2500.00. Might get more parting it out on Ebay but there is hassle of dealing with auction listings, auction fees, fucktards and shipping. Might get more by putting it all back completely stock and selling the hop up parts separately. The last option has worked well for me several times.

Face it, the classifieds are loaded with people asking 3 grand for 08-10 dirt bikes. They aren't selling either.

Honestly, you could probably part it out for more than you could get outright. Not a lot of call for older 125s no matter how nice. I'd say maybe $1500 in So Cal at most, and you'd have to get lucky with that. Engine probably worth a grand to a shifter cart guy.

What year is it? It's beautiful. Don't let it go less than 2000. Most would ask that for a stock bike. If it was mine I would keep it and try and find a way for the new bike. Because eventually you will regret selling a 125 as fresh and sweet as that one.

question is, why would you want a new bike, that one looks more fun than any fart machine you can buy today.

I'm still trying to convince mom and dad to let me keep it so I can put it in my living room one day. ;-/

I just sold my sons 2003 CR125R that was complety decked out here in Southern Cal. Very similar to the quality of yours with all the bells and whistles. I had it listed at $2600 for months on end with a ton of bites, but nobody would pull the trigger for that much on a 03 125. No matter how much you put into it, it's still an old 125.

I ended up letting it go for $1900.

I see so many fn garbage bikes on craigslist for like 3-4K and just laugh.. This bike however truly looks like it's in good shape. I would say easily 2K if not more.

This is my advice, what Zesiger 112 said, I'd never put that much into a bike I wasn't gonna keep...

I don't think ripping the engine out and trying to find a guy with a shifter kart would be practical. IMO

If it's already in a good home then it doesn't need to leave for someone who will turn it into a roach.

I feel bad for you guys livin in CA. That bike would pull 2200-2700 in VA for sure. Only problem is that it's a kx. Seems like people are mostly into the Hondas and suzukis for these older 2-strokes.

That bike is really nice. Better off putting a 144cc kit on it rather than sell it for a 250f.

But if you decide to sell, I'm just south of you, so let me know what you want for it and I'll come get it.

It's a 125, if it was a 250 you'd have people lined up. Above you have someone in So Cal with a similar CR125 that sold it after many months for $1,900. The Honda is going to be worth more, doesn't matter which bike was better 10 years ago. It's a 10+ year old bike.

Looks like you got a new bike, wouldn't get rid of a 125

Perception. Same as Toyota. You take similar bikes more than 5 years old and the Honda will sell for more most of the time. Just my opinion.
