Assuming he wraps this one he has three more chances before he turns 20. The 2022 supercross and the 2022 outdoor title and the 2023 supercross title would make it four titles as a teenager. He doesn't turn 20 until August 9, 2023. Has anyone won four titles as a teen?

He's 17 going on 18 so if he wins this title he would only be eligible to win 4 more technically as a teenager.

He's already done it once.

He won his first major title at 13: 65cc World Champion.

He’s turned 18 recently.
He’ll get Supercross next year and defend his outdoor title.

Plus he would still be 19 for supercross 2023.

RC and Stewy won 4 titles, and Brock Glover won 3. I think that is it.

Do you honestly think Justin Cooper is coming back from a 23 points deficit to win the 250 outdoor title next weekend?

Assuming he wins this one and 250 east this winter I expect Honda will want him to try to win an outdoor title on the new 250r and then he will be on 450s for 2023 supercross.

From what the rumor is and plans that have been going around. Wouldn't be surprised to see Jett race outdoors on a 450 if wins the SX title next year.

but who knows, he's young, a lot can come into play

Unless another team manages to take him away from HRC (I'm sure plenty are trying or will try). It looks like he would take the 94 seat in 2023 or 2024. HRC could even run a 3-men team in 2023 if Kenny does one more year. In 2 years these guys are likely to be retired or past their prime: Tomac, Roczen, Barcia, Musquin, Anderson and even Webb. The Sexton + Jett duo is in for titles, I think KTM would snatch either of them or Ferrandis.

He's only limited by his birth certificate. 😎

Roczen will be on a green bike before Jett is.

Is it likely? No. But if Jett had a bike malfunction dnf first moto and Cooper gets 1-3 then it becomes a last moto dog fight for the title.

Anything can happen in the next week before they even get to the gate.
Let's just sit tight for now.

If he wins both titles next year he is wasting his time in the 250 class. Generational talents don’t spend 4 years in the small bore class.

Win both, defend 250SX in 2023 and move to the 450 outdoors like Sexton did would be great.

In reality it most likely depends on what Roczen does. Maybe running a 3rd 450 HRC bike would be an option?

I don't see Honda letting him go. Then again, there's the whole RC thing.

Plot twist: Jett Lawrence tests positive for Covid this week and is not allowed to race, losing 25 points to Justin Cooper and losing the title.

If something happens to him before he gets to the gate we are all blaming you for jinxing him.

They don't test for outdoors.

Add a MXDN 450 win to his name.

After his three titles so far he pretty much has two more chances in SX and outdoors as a teenager since he would be barely turning 20 in August.

Remember when a lot of people used to get pissy about talk of Jett's greatness?
