Im doing right about 15 minute "motos" and getting about 8 of them in on an open practice day.

Just wanted to see what others are doing and maybe adjust what im doing.
how many hours is a practice day?

Over here tracks are typically open for 3 hours on a saturday, which basically means i'm happy if i get in 1 hour of actual riding time split over 3 or 4 'sessions'.

On raceday it's roughly 45 minutes (practice of 10 minutes and 2 motos of 15 m +1 lap each).

I make sure to do at least an hour on the meter but usually end up about an hour 10 or so. My races are about 10 min long so I try and ride 12 min practice motos. You guys running 4X30min motos are training for the nationals or?

i have an app that records ride-time and rest time... the moto/track results are less than impressive.

moto - 1hrs ride, 4hrs rest

offroad - 5-7hrs ride, 1hrs rest

snowmobile - 3.5hrs ride, 4.5hrs rest

snowbike - 4hrs ride, 1.5hrs rest

*disclaimer - a 30 pack between me and my old man doesn't last long snowmobiling

What app is that?

I’ve put 2-1/2 hours on my bike in a day, but it was 2 loops and about 80 miles. That’s roughly 2 tanks of gas and then some...
5-6 hours would be straight torture, IMO

40 to 50 miles is an average Hare Scramble that usually takes 2 hours if your A or AA. If you're not on the lead lap obviously you won't do the 40 /50 miles. Enduros can take up to 6 hours but there's usually two gas stops. Gncc are usually about 70 miles and that takes 3 hours

Exactly, that is why I think his hour meter isn't working properly. If he is covering 40-50 miles and his meter only reads one hour, then something is off unless it's wide open desert riding with a lot of roads.

Most tracks are open from likr 10-6 or there abouts around here. 12-6 is about the shortest most are open.

I was there from 12-5 or so on sunday and put 2.2 on the meter. If i only had 3 hrs id be at more like an hour or so of ride time too.

I ride mx only and don’t go home until I put at least 1hr on the hr meter. When I have a few weekends in a row, I am irritated if my hr meter is not close to 2.

Usually 1-1.5 on the hour meter for mx practice, especially if the track splits practices and you only get 15minutes every hour

About 1, I never use a full tank of fuel. Just waiting for the Alta to arrive in Australia...

I do about 2-4 hours MX riding.

Can be a bit hassle to do long sessions when its split times and changing to the 85cc bike.
