Ive been averaging about 2-2.2 hrs of time on the bike per open practice day.

The last couple of times out im pretty spent but still putting time on the bike.

Just curious of others.
This is at open practice days for mx. Race day is less im sure.

Usually around 1 hour
4/2/2018 10:30am
Open practice days are typically 1.5-2.5 hours of engine run time.

Single class race days (2 motos plus practice) is usually about .6-.8 hr of engine run time.

You guys busting out 2-3x 30 minute motos have me covered. Id have to back my already slow pace down a few notches to last 30 minutes straight. Maybe will give it a go next time out tho.

Im doing right about 15 minute "motos" and getting about 8 of them in on an open practice day.

Just wanted to see what others are doing and maybe adjust what im doing.

If I don’t have a minimum of 4-20 minutes plus warmup a day, I’m pissed. Shoot for 4 x30, my best days my last moto is usually my best, and longest.

I wish I was in shape to do 30 minute Moto’s, but I’m not ! I’m usually good for 2-3 laps at a descent pace, then I start making mistakes, so I back it down. I’m a 50+ guy that’s not racing anymore, so there’s that... It really depends what you’re riding as well. My 450 is my main bike, but it does take more energy to ride than my 250 2-stroke does. But I still only do 10-15 minute motos. I usually do 4-5 motos and about 1 hour on the meter. I wish I could ride more and get in better cardio shape, but my job sucks the life out of me. Literally..., Sad

I try to do an hour minimum up to 1.5 hours. I do 2 lap sprints and some longer motos when I can. There are some tracks that lend their self better to longer motos and there are some I don't like to ride when I start tiring because they are too technical.

At 66 on the MX track I'm good for 3 or 4 sessions depending on the time or laps we get. Off road it is anywhere from 20 miles to 75 miles depending on the terrain.

Saturday Washougal opened for practice - there had to be over 300 riders. We got 3 sessions in with a reasonable amount of laps and the dirt was perfect. I was tired - so Sunday I went to the pump track near my home to finish off the weekend and then this AM did a stint on the rower. Now I'm at work resting LOL

Just getting back into the swing of things but Saturday I did about 50 minutes straight on the backyard loop. Mid summer I'm hoping to be back into the 1 1/2-2 mark.

I always do 4 - 30 minute timed motos on open track days for a total of 2 hours. I put right at 100 hours/year on my bikes.

less than an hour unless it's at home chasing peewees on my pit bike..... nope still less than an hour. Sitting in a semi is much easier than on a bike and the lack of exercise in the winter is a killer around here. On a good day I can pull a 1 lap wonder at b speed if i know the track. Then i put around and jump stuff when I can safely use all the controls.

i have an app that records ride-time and rest time... the moto/track results are less than impressive.

moto - 1hrs ride, 4hrs rest

offroad - 5-7hrs ride, 1hrs rest

snowmobile - 3.5hrs ride, 4.5hrs rest

snowbike - 4hrs ride, 1.5hrs rest

*disclaimer - a 30 pack between me and my old man doesn't last long snowmobiling

If I’m just riding at my own place I try to do 3 20-30 minute motos.
4/2/2018 4:10pm
I put about 2 hrs on an open track day. But that’s me going and doing like a few 15 minute motos because at around 10 minutes my hands and arms feel like they’re gonna explode Laughing

Thats exactly what i do too. My hands still are the first to go. Im getting better as of they though riding looser and smoother i think. Still depends on the track and conditions tho if its really challenging and fighting the track im smoked in 2 laps lol

On my off-road bike, riding single trail, I will do a 40-50 mile loop and be gone for 4-5 hrs. About 1 hour or so on the meter.
I’ve put 2-1/2 hours on my bike in a day, but it was 2 loops and about 80 miles. That’s roughly 2 tanks of gas and then some...
5-6 hours would be straight torture, IMO

Better check your meter because by your time and miles you would be having a 40-50 mph average on single track. If so, my hats off to you.
