Some people put 40 hours on a bike and then sell to buy a new one to do all over again. Some will put 300-400 hours and then finally retire it as a back up bike and pick up a new one. Which one are you?

My 125 has about 160 hours on the frame and 20 on a fresh top to bottom end, my 150 was about the same before I tore it down.

Unleaded tastes a little tangy. Supreme is kinda sour, and diesel tastes pretty good.

I only own one bike with an hour meter on it right now, it's a '13 KTM 500xcw. Sitting at 164hrs on a completely stock motor, I plan to go 250hrs before a complete top to bottom rebuild then run it another 250hrs.

I'm choice no. 1, try to sell my bike around 40 hours while it still has some value.

The plan was to trade it in for a SX 250 this winter but i just broke my collarbone and 3 vertebrae while riding downhill so i don't know what i'm going to do yet. Should be a 4 months stop. Damn.

It just got a new piston and clutch. Going to swap back a lot of the stock parts onto it and prep it to sell.

How is the frame olding up?
Do you notice any difference since it was new?
Like it didn't lost rigidity?

17 KX450, 140 hrs and rebuilt so many times it should have a zipper installed.

20.5 SXF FE.... 10.1 hours so far!

my 2006 KX250 has had two pistons in it with about 20 hrs per piston so appx 60 hours total including the OEM piston. Since I started riding the 450 again I will do a top end in it soon, the bottom end is still good with no noticeable movement in the bottom end bearings or at the flywheel so will go another piston before doing the crank and bearings!

Do you find yourself wanting to be one of the people that gets a new bike every year?

I love my 2016s. I’ve worked out their kinks and I have the bikes set up perfect for me. It took some time to get them there but I can look at a bump or rut and know exactly how the bike will handle it now. I broke one down to refresh everything in the engine and chassis and am going to finish that one up, get it running, then break the other one down to refresh everything.

They’ve got some age on them but I still think they are a great looking bike. Just got graphics done on the main rider last week. Photo

My '06 YZ250 has at least 100 hours on it. I don't know, because I don't run an hour meter. Still rocking the original bottom end with no noise and no up-down play in the rod.
The rest of the bike is a barely-rolling roach, but the motor is solid.

EDIT: I say "at least 100" hours, but it could be as many as 200-300. I seriously don't have a clue.

2016 KTM SXF 450 FE with 110 hours with just oil changes.

Last bike was a '14 KX 450 I sold with 150h with just oil changes too.

Haven't changed a piston since I jumped to 4 strokes in 2007. Spend all my money in suspension.

53 hours on my 2019 KTM 350SXf. I usually don't buy and sell based on hours, I buy a new bike every other year to keep the depreciation from dropping too much. I will hold on to this 350 for at least another calendar year so I would expect to have over 100 hours on it at the time of sale.
