How does Roczen keep feet on pegs through corners?

Loving watching Kenny ride - wheelieing and hopping over bumps, placing the front wheel exactly where he wants etc. Just makes it look effortless. Great stuff Gary, thanks.

Anyone notice how much Ken seems to drag his back brake ,around corners . I wonder is this a big advantage of standing in corners you can drag the back brake because you dont need your foot off . To me it looks like Ken is nearly on the gas a bit ,on both brakes a bit ,all at the same time in the middle of the corner

My understanding of dragging the rear brake, is that it helps the CG to settle a bit.... the risk is that it tightens up the suspension a bit .....thus a discriminating ride needs to know when to and when not to...

The first time I did an escargot I intuitively drug the rear brake....I was leaned over so far that I did not have my feet on the pegs..... however it did help plant the bike on the tires.

So I would agree that KR is intuitively (muscle memory is the technique here) touching the rear brake when standing up on the corner.....

Yes, that's right. The back brake is very important to control all the way until the transition (where you go from braking to accelerating). Sometimes they overlap, meaning you are controlling the brake and throttle at the same time. I've been teaching these techniques for years thought my schools and techniques dvds.

Have you noticed Ken Roczen keeping his feet on the pegs through berms? Sometimes even deep berms. How does he manage this difficult maneuver? He practices the techniques that apply. I’ve been teaching these practice techniques since 1990. Here’s a clip from my 2nd video showing it, it's from the “Making the MC and Rider Become 1” DVD or Stream. 28 Techniques DVDs/Streams. I am a big fan of Cudby and his balance while getting the shot.
