How about those yz250fs?

Edited Date/Time 8/24/2018 11:27am
I might be biased because I have a 2016 yz250f, but has anybody noticed how dominant those yz250fs have been lately? I love mine. They changed the game. I haven't ridden any other brands, but it was a huge improvement from my 2011 yz250f.

Careful dude. Some people here will nail you for saying one factory bike is faster than another.

The Kemea effort isn't near what Star is. Kawasaki and Yamaha's MX2 efforts aren't "top notch"...

True, but TLD isn't exactly a 'top notch' effort when compared to Factory KTM in GPs either

So is it just KTM, white KTM, and Honda factory bikes in MX2?

How many hours did you have on the 2011 before you upgraded? I had a 2011 and I've always thought it was really light and great handling but the motor wasn't very fast.

How many hours do you have on the 2016?

I have a 2017 KTM 350 (because I'm not really a 450 guy at heart) and I enjoy riding it a lot more than a 450 but its not a game changer for me. I'm still average vet speed and I'm not using the power to jump anything bigger than I was in previous years. I am a bit heavy so the 350 makes sense there but a 250F with properly set up suspension will serve my purpose just fine so I'll probably be looking at a blue 250F in another 2 years or so.

I think I had about 70 hours in the 2011 before I sold it and then have had my 2016 for about a year now. My 2016 is up to 90 hours total so far. Had 50 on it when I bought it, with a fresh top end. I think I'll do another top end here shortly.

I was seriously contemplating a ktm 350 because I'm just a vet track hero, but settled on the 250f after riding my buddies. I mostly ride on vet tracks and weigh about 185 and don't have any difficulties getting over any of the jumps that are within my capabilities.

According to Aldon Baker, "TLD IS factory KTM". MX Nation Season 4, can't remember which episode. Now, Factory KTM US versus Factory KTM GP could be debated. The bike isn't what held up A Mart this year, mistakes were.

2013 YZ250f of Dean Ferris was the best bike ever.
