Right? It should be pretty straight forward. Check who jumped on red cross flag, give them the standard penalty and call it a day. Should be done within 30 minutes.

Roczen and Anderson clearly jumped, so they will get penalties.

I'm a Barcia homer, but damn, he needs to quit the theatrics after a race When you get beat suck it up and come out swinging next time. He knew the cameras were on him and motioned toward the bike as if something detrimental occurred. Not buying it. .

Sexton, bummed for the kid, but pumped for JB10 and Ferrandis surprised the hell out of me. Webb has this figured out and will be riding pissed this weekend. He'll be on top of the box with Roczen and either Barcia or Zacho in tow.
According to Matthes, the bike was stuck in 1st. Shifter broke. (in regards to barcia)

It's a red flag, rules are "reduce speed and stop racing". So I guess you can still jump while reducing speed Wink

If the penalty is for double out of the sand I think is bs, pretty much a blind jump riding in traffic if the flag is not shown before the sand.

Seriously. Vision would have been pretty low and it really isn't easy to stop safely in deep sand. We saw so many riders caught out in that section last night. Red cross should have been shown before that section to give riders time to adjust. Speaking of visibility, sand is notorious for being a nightmare.

I get your point but there were 5+ guys that saw it and rolled. The rules are the rules, you can't escape a penalty by saying you were in traffic and didn't see it when others did.

That is also a drawback with getting a bad start, you can get caught up in a situation like that.

Ah, you know what. I just saw this video. Roczen and Anderson definitely had time to react and roll that section.

So, RJ Hampshire gets credited 9th place after being shown outside top 20 few laps away from finish ? Husqvarna Press Release has him in 17th, AMA shows him 9th; weird.

In 2019, when Musquin jumped on the red cross, he was penalized 7 points (equivalent to -3positions) and did not get the 12,000$ purse money for winning the main event, but they kept his win in the record book.

Since neither Roczen nor Anderson won, I believe they will simply be docked positions or few seconds. I hear -2 positions on LeBigUSA. So "only" 2 points.

I kind of like the fact that there are no fixed rules, because every situation is different. But if the -2 positions is true, then it's quite a big difference with the previous -7points for jumping on the red cross.

Let's see what they will decide.

Yeah if anyone can pass as many guys of this quality as Roczen just did and not be hanging on at the end they are super human. That didn’t look to me like the Roczen fading of past years, guy gets a start and I think he’ll be off into the sunset
Roczen did have a great ride, he definitely has the speed to win...let's just hope we don't see him riding around in 13th place again being lapped by the FMOTP because of another mystery illness.

Going to be interesting and shake up the points a little if penalties are what they are looking at.

Bummed for Zach, such a great ride only to fall and drop back to another 10th... Lost 10 points. He's right in the middle of it if he can hold it together.

450 point standings

So they decided. Ken and Ando docked 4 positions (-4points)

Why are martials allowed to run across the track and into the path of other bikes?

I know he is waving a flag, but seems a bit dodgy

I don't know what they expect putting a difficult rhythm section directly after the start and deciding to have a red closs flag halfway through the rhythm and expect to penalize riders who jumped while they have 21 other riders around them also jumping.

Absolute nonsense. He pushed so hard the entire main and passed about 10 guys to get to where he finished. He made some mistakes trying to pass Brayton and Webb got back by. It was strong ride

At the end of the race Webb kept moving forward. Roczen went backwards. They came through together. I'm not taking joy in it. I'm actually bummed to see it. But that was the big question
Webb was 8th after lap 1, Roczen was 14th.
“came through together” ..... nope.

Ill eat my words on this one. He did have bike problems. Maybe he has turned a page and means business. Still pulling for him to stay at the top the entire season.

Yep, I retract my statement about Barcia. Actually a great ride considering the circumstances.
