I have 200 hours on my 2019 Tech 7s. They are due for a resole. Or I'm getting Tech 10s. I like the little booty that goes on your foot before into the actual boot on the 10s. No complaints about the 7s. I also sharpen my pegs once a month.

Less than a year old, definitely not stoked.

No, it sure doesn't. They added some extra support right where it was crushing on top of the ankle.

Not sure why that would make you want to go out and spend 25000 on a glorified Quad.

Pretty easy to do. Bike has an hour meter on it. Write the hours down when you get your new boots. Check it when you throw them out.

I have about 50 hours on my new gen tech 10’s and I feel like they are holding up really well. I run fairly aggressive pegs too. I’m sure mx hours are harder but I mainly race off road so I’m slamming them off rocks and stuff with high regularity.

Those boots have seen 50 hours?!

WOW...There's literally no wear on the in/bike side of those boots. Zero frame contact wear.

SC1 hides a lot haha! And I don't know if it matters but I rode a KTM the majority of the hours with plastic frame protectors and now on a Husky with the same setup. I wonder if an aluminum frame with no protection is a lot harder on boots?

Funny to see this now, I just spent a ton of time looking for boots. Finally tossing my Tech 10s, got them in 08 or 09 I think. Probably 250ish hours, maybe a bit more.

I would have gone with the same again since they fit me so nice but couldn't find a good enough deal so went with some SG10s I found on clearance.

Curious if I'm the only one wearing Tech 10s that never took the bootie out? Some people say the bootie is a pain, but mine haven't left the boot in 10 years. My foot just slides in and out while the bootie stays behind.

Those are some OG tech 10s! On the older ones I took them out. On the new ones I take them out but just for washing. Once the boots are dry I slide them back in and find them way easier to get on with them in there already. The old ones it didn't matter but the double flap was easier to get full closed if you put the booties on first IMO.

This isn't sole related, but I had a crack in the side of my Tech 7's a while back, sent them to Alpinestars so they could fix them...

They sent me an email back and said they can't fix them, so they are sending me a brand new pair for free.

Back in the good ole days! How new/old were your boots? If they were new, I bet they offered some warranty. If they are older, I believe they only offer a minimal discount on new boots.

I guess it was a while back, probably 10 years ago. The boots I sent in were pretty old too. I honestly just wanted them repaired and definitely didn't expect them to send me brand new boots. The boots were far out of any warranty for sure. They were probably 4 years old at the time.

That’s pretty good service then, I had a pair of tech 10 LE boomers and at Prob 40 hours both the sides towards the frames where ripping, went to tech 7 they held up better may of been a freak thing

I wanted to say side by side sorry, wasn't clear enough.
Take the foot area with one hand and the calf area with the other hand. You'll be able to bend the boot side by side pretty easily ! When I saw that (+ multiples foot / ankle injuries) I was convicted that the Sidis don't offer enough support in the ankle area !

Can’t go past a trusty pair of Tech7s I reckon. I do probably 80 to 100 hours a year off road and I swear by them. I got sick to death and $$$$ of re-soleing SIDI Crossfire SRS. Fox boots lasted but were pretty uncomfy. I think I got nearly 3 years out of my last 7s.

I get 20 hours out of tech 10s before my right sole is worn through. same with any boot I’ve used for the past 15 years or so.

Must be an older picture. Boots in the riding picture look like tech 7's.

Try some moose racing plastic cleaner. It gets the majority of the black off my boots, then shine them up with SC1.

Tried just about everything I have used before but it's not coming out, don't mind it as long as this pair won't break.
