with all the talk on air vrs spring forks I am thinking of swapping out my Honda air forks for some springs. Have any of you done this? What did you think?

All this talk...

How much have you experimented with tuning the air forks?

Before you swap them out try and '15 Honda, much better forks than on the '14.

It wont be long before all manufacturers are using the air forks on their production bikes, factory riders can ride what they like of course

My 14 honda air forks are good, especially after fc recalced them. Although they do ride a bit low In the stroke. But they work well pretty much everywhere.

Have you had your PSF 1 forks tuned by an aftermarket shop?

I did, had a 13 and sold it after three different shops did their best. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying others should feel the same way, this was just my feeling, the bike just doesn't feel planted the way a spring fork does. I do ride more off road/gp stuff, so maybe that has something to do with it.

I am definitely going to go with a spring fork if I can find a set...

I only ride MX but my '13 kx450 suspension is amazing. Pro circuit did their magic on them. Just picked up a 2015 kx450 this weekend and the suspension will be in the mail heading to pro circuit tomorrow afternoon.

May I ask who did them? Rider weight?

If you're dead-set on getting spring forks, try to find a set of KYB spring forks from a 2009-2012, they'll bolt right up. I believe the total extended length is the same, if not, it's within a few mms. I'll see if I can find the exact number.

thanks, I am looking for CRF250, 2012 showas. As far as tuners, I tried Enzo, FC and a local shop. It was frustrating because I was coming of a 2012 that Enzo set up that was amazing. Wish I had those forks now.

In my opinion, that's because the stock setting is better on the 15s' PSF 2. The PSF 1 forks on the 13-14 are a better design and are more capable overall. By example; Trey Canard, Eli Tomac, JGR and Star Yamaha are racing with PSF 1.

Once I get the suspension back and put some time on it, I'll post up a review! Can't wait to get this thing back together and on the track
