I used type F in my '17 TC 250 because I found that the notchy transmission shifted under a load better with that than any other oil I tried. I was changing it every 2-3 rides and it was still looking reasonably clean and still red.

I always used to run the Honda Trans oil that comes in the Red Bottle. Even ran it on tranny side on my CRF. Great product. I assume they still make it as i've been out of the riding/racing scene for over 10 years now.

I ran type F ATF in all of my 2 strokes since 99 and it definitely works great. Never had a tranny failure. It shifts better and works better with the friction plates. I changed it every 3 rides and it went in red and came out just about same color red as it went in so I was comfortable with the changing it every 3 rides. I was buying it by the gallon so it was a great and very inexpensive option.

I've been using the same Honda transmission oil since the early 90's with excellent results.

Type F is great ... ran it for 10+ years in all of my 2 stroke trannys. Just uesd the cheap house brand, 750ml changed it every weekend. $.95 at my local gas station worked awesome.

People worry about thier no-warranty $10,000 dirt bike yet auto manufactors offer 100,000 mile drivetrain warranties on $50K trucks. What do those trucks run in the auto trannies? ATF. What do auto trannies have in them? Seals, wet clutches, bearings and gears. Why that sounds almost like a two stroke bottom end! Move on.

I run type f atf in my 125. works great. change it like every ride at first and it cleans all the old shit outa the clutch’s then once it’s used to it the fluid doesn’t get dirty as fast. at least that’s my experience with it. super grippy clutches.
