I just purchased a 1977 Honda CR 125 and a 1974 Hodaka Dirt Squirt 125 for $500. These bikes are in unbelievable shape.

Long time lurker. I love seeing all the old vintage restoration projects. I felt this was too good of a find not to share.

Love the Hodaka. Still have a Super Rat. Believe it or not, used it as a "pit bike" at the race track in the late 80's!

The paints not even worn off on the frame by the foot peg on the CR. That thing looks mint from the pic.

Do tell. More details.

How did you come across such a deal? How did you keep a straight face as you carried out the transaction? Did you feel remorse as you drove away? What is your address, your dog's favorite treat, and the combination to your garage door lock?

Oops, that last part was just a slip......

In 1975 bought a brand new 74 dirt squirt for the girlfriend out the door for $275, old memories. That Hodaka you have (125) is either a Wombat, Combat Wombat, Super Combat, or Super Duper Combat Wombat, the Dirt Squirt's were 100cc. No matter for sure what a great deal for you. Want to sell the Hodaka?

What's the excitement? They don't even have disc brakes? Tongue

Congrats by the way!

Hey,which is the one with the leading link dual shock front end? It was a one hundred I think and I want to say"Steen"? I was only about 10 but I can't remember for sure what the differences were between all those Hodakas. Sounds like you might know. What year bike may that have been? This was in about 72 or so when we had the bike.Thanks.

I think they were modified Hodaka 100's by Alsport Steen in the early 70's. remember seeing pictures but I never saw one in person.

Thanks! Yeah,it was a pretty cool bike as I remember, but I hated the skinny sharp foot pegs. Hurt my feet through my cowboy boots.BlinkTongue
