Reed has, what, 2 SX titles, 38 career big class SX wins, 8 wins as a rookie vs. RC, near perfect SX "lites" title, MX title, ......... sounds just like Hill, right......jeez

Two totally different types of riding styles.

I like Hill but he is a bulldog. Reed on the other hand is smooth and precise.

Yeah, he can be like his good buddy Kyle as he gets lapped.Woohoo

I don't know what happened to Reedy but the brief times we have seen him this year he has looked more like Keeney than himself. And that includes the racing in his series. Yeah he won but you could tell he was really struggling to do so.

I'd take being tied for the SX title points lead anyway possible at this juncture of the season anyday.

Hill isn't even on the same planet as Chad Reed as far as accomplishments go.

Im not talking accomplishments im talking about the way of winning a tittle, if he does.

Reed always seems to fall into championship hopes when the other top dog is out.
Hill is not in that position now that JS and CR are out but still has RV and Dungey.
Could be similar but much closer to Reed and Windham a few years back...

I also stated this could also just be like Morais and his tittle hopes how he almost won the championship with out a single win or like Huffman i think it was?

Huffman dominated, you are thinking of Ferry, who won a lites tittle without a win.Josh could win a lot of races if he puts in 110% effort, any thing less wont get the job done.

OK then, 2003, Reed was 20, 21 years old. and had 8 wins, 360 points, just 7 less than RC.
A rookie vs. RC.
How does this compare to Hill as a rookie, or as a 20 year old?

Its hard to say at this point, when bubba comes back and reed comes back, we will see. everybody really didn't train or if they did they over trained. But i also heard before this season started hill was flipping burgers because he didn't have a ride and din't know what was going to happen, but I don't know how true that was with hill..

Like most of the other riders didn't make top 4. So he is got a point to prove out there.

Chad turned 22 yrs old to win the east lites and every ride Chad has had since then was smoother and faster, till now maybe, Hill,Millsaps,Allessi,Brayton,Villopoto and many more are 21 or younger and they have a lot of fast other young keen riders, our sport is hitting another heyday like the Johny O mara years, enjoy.

Lites title at age 20 in 2002
First SX title at age 22 in 2004

The numbers are easy to look up. Why just invent your own data?

Plain & simple, Hill's the next Hill.
For me comparisons are what they are,
& he's still under construction so to speak.
He's developing "a new"...........
He's leaner, stronger, & more willing than before.
When he arrived from amateurs, he was fresh &
showed us the future, his future, but as with many
young guns, he derailed himself some.
Now is now & he's clearly reinvented himself
& I'm sure there's way more to come.
I wish he was racing the Outdoors too.
A full season would make him a real threat in 2011,
especially if he continues to build........
