Anybody remember a tire called the "terra-flex"? I think it was made by Trellaborg. It had HUGE knobs, like twice the size of other brands.
I bought one for my Honda CR250 in about 1981. Unbelievable traction, too much for the 250 really.

They were/are great tires for a CR500 in the desert. I think you can still find them. Teraflex

If it is the one I am thinking of you could run it with about 3 psi and it still felt stiff.

Back then (early 80's), it just had regular square knobs. And yes, it was an extremely stiff tire. Probably heavy too, although I don't remember for sure.
