A1 and the mayhem on Vital that followed has been the subject of most threads, but heres something moto - related for the guys that ACTUALLY race out there.
Just wondering, what # do you guys run, and is there any reason to why you have that number? Is it a good luck thing to keep running the same number or do you switch it up every year?
My first year in Novice class I ran # 270, pretty much because those were the only numbers left in our local Yamaha shop!
Since then, I have had # 717 on all my bikes that I have raced. For no real reason, other then #17 was my number in High School, and I've always like the number 17, so I just added an extra 7!
( and it has nothing to do with liking Stewy - I had 717 while he was still running 259. I've been told I must be a superfan cause I have two 7's in my number.......... )

Why?
My favorite rider as a kid.
It was the number that came on my first big bike (02 RM125)
Its looks pretty cool and I am a fan of 3 digits like TP199, so it just grew on me.
It's the last three numbers on my AMA card. I've had it my whole life and I have only seen 2-3 others running it.
The Shop
The guy that taught me how to ride when i was 8 years old ran No.45... i used to watch him at the local races and think what an absolute legend, i`m gonna be No.45 when i grow up!
Then it became 345 when i realised you had to be actual fast to run 2 digits. The "3" cause i like the look of it.
Larry Ward's first pro number
1 is for Jean Sebastian Roy and 63 for Jolene Van Vugt.
I am 164.Born dec.1 1964
Pit Row
So then I switched it up to 941. The 9 was to kind of stay in touch with the old number the 4 was for the first number I ever had on a bike when I used to just ride in the yard as a little kid. And the 1 was because I had just one a championship at our local track.
Now I'm switching it up to 51. Kind of going back to the way I first got a racing number. My Dad has since changed his number to 105 and I wanted a two digit number so hence how I got 51.
