He's back riding again, don't know when he's expecting to be racing again though. I think he's still with his family in WA rather than Victoria where he trains but I'm not certain.

Wow!! That is really cool to hear , and also blows me away on the recovery time. That article said the doctor's said he would be in the hospital for 6 months....and was out in 4 weeks. And he's already riding again. That is just incredible. Thanks for the info guys.

It's really incredible how quickly he has managed to recover. It sounded like it was going to be years until he rode again and he's back riding after only 5 months.

It is awesome to see, however I sincerely hope he has good medical support, it’s very easy to be short sighted at 19yo.

Follow his Instagram, it’s actually quite unbelievable the progress he’s made.

Honestly my immediate thoughts when I saw he was riding again were pretty much that, but I'd have to imagine he has plenty of resources in terms of doctors/specialists that know where he should be at.

We happened to be at the race where he got hurt and after watching it all unfold, the craziness surrounding it, the chopper and just the whole scenario, seeing this pic, even though I've seen it, makes me smile every time I look at it.
He was on a pit bike even a few weeks before that in his yard I believe and I shook my head in disbelief even then and now seeing this, amazing!!!!

Again so damn cool seeing a guy make progress like that. Definitely says something to be young and fit , and be able to bounce right back , that fast , from damn near dying. Actually , he did die and they brought him back! That alone is scary as hell....and yet it seems to of not affected his drive at all. Consider me a big fan.

Speaking of being a fan , I had been watching the. 2021 Pro Aussie MX nationals , and I only got through round #3 ( They mis-labeled it as round #4 ). But then that was it....all I could find. Did the season get cut short because of Covid? How many rounds were there supposed to be? Really dig watching that series honestly.

With the ProMX 2021 season, what happened is that round 3 was delayed because of South Australia's covid restrictions so they went to Maitland, which is in New South Wales where the covid restrictions weren't as strict. Maitland was scheduled as round 4 but it ended up being the 3rd round chronologically so I think they just ended up calling it round 4.

Anyway, the season was scheduled for 8 rounds at 7 different tracks (1 double header) but covid cases were rising rapidly like the week of the Maitland round, so after that went ahead covid restrictions came back into place, including most states banning inter-state travel and obviously it just wasn't viable to continue the series after that point so they ended up calling it altogether a few months later.

Anyone who knows or come upon Regan, would tell you just how special the kid really is, not just as a rider but as a person also. He is mature upon his years and seems to make time for everyone and anyone, especially the junior's in our state who look up to him and follow him like he is The Pied Piper. It's no mistake that our State is producing so many fast riders and a great bunch of kids. He is a sponsors dream, case in point, Oakley have said they will keep on sponsoring him even if he does not race again.

Ahh ok , that makes a lot of sense. I figured that's what happened. I know Australia had some super strict lock downs that time of year , I just hadn't heard anything on the broadcasts and so forth. Hopefully this 2022 season goes along with no interruptions. I tried to watch the opening round , and they showed everything BUT MX1 ?? Anyone know where to watch that?

Great to hear what’s been going on with Regan and provides a heap of interesting background information.

Not great to hear the usual jujitsu mentions (1:15, 1:30, 1:59, 2:05) and inevitable story of “when I” (30 mins in).

I agree. It is crazy annoying he tells his whole life story and how successful his podcast is every damn episode. I appreciate the content, but really wish he would stop relating every guests story to his own.

I wish he would be more focused on the guests and ask the questions us listeners would like answered (there always seems things missing like those I would have asked with Regan…) as well as him trying to use the interview to manipulate guests for his future projects and involvement. It was cringeworthy with Daniel Ricciardo…
