Please just stop with tomac vs herlings. Theyre not even in the same series! We should be talking about herlings vs Gajser and Cairoli.

I think Herlings will have a hard time with Gajser and AC the first rounds. Next up is russia and last year desalle won that race straight up. But as soon as Herlings fitness is 100% i dont think Gajser or AC will have anything for Jeffrey.

I think Jh at his best will just battle with Tony and Gajser.
I don't think he is any faster then them at their best, he is just more arrogant (Tony's best for me was 2012 2013, not last year).

DId you even watch the series last year? Peak Herlings is much faster than Cairoli and Gajser.

Watching live timing and Herlings is dropping off, either he had a tip over or his fitness isnt up to par (which would be understandable)

Come race SX and MX and see who is on top. GP guys are Outdoor specialists who has 1 guy who runs a little faster than the US and GP field. Yet the majority of the GP field will get smoked in supercross.

Yea yea say SX doesnt matter but in reality its the biggest stage in the world and thats what the OEMs pay most for for results.

Compare both SX and MX or dont compare at all. The US riders are doing more than the GP guys which is gnarly in itself.

The fact that 1 country is so good they have to be compared to the combination of the rest of the world tells all. How many countries does it take to beat the USA?

Cairoli was as fast as ever last year and herlings beat him straight up like 99% of the time. The 2nd half of the season it was no contest. Jeffrey could start from last place and still win. Jeffrey is certainly faster than both Gajser and AC when he is 100%.

Hey guys lets make this an AMA vs GP thread for the 1000th time.

Bunch of idiots.

Herlings finished 4th the second moto, injuries effect people way more than you think sometimes.

He wont do well if he doesn't get in shape quick for the next GP.

This went as expected, Herlings went out right away like he always does at 100% showed he had the speed and now he needs the fitness. This thread also went as expected, derailed immediately.

That’s a bad mofo. Can’t wait to see what he has for Gajser and TC. Least for a moto or so for now anyway

I am 'Merica as it gets - I live in Texas. drive a giant truck, and have more guns than sense - but ever since seeing Herlings at Indiana crash in the first turn and win the moto there was no doubt who was the fastest guy in the world. He had never been to the track, had to qualify and race on the same day, and it wasn't sand. Thats some GOAT shit right there.
Lot of truth right there. Plus the guy just seems like a guy anybody would want to hang out with.

I can see why a lot of people don’t like him 😂

I'm a big fan of both Herling's and Tomac......but in the sand? I know Eli rips in it too , but Jeffrey is on another level from everything I've seen. If I was Eli , I would concentrate more on just trying to run with AC in the sand , as he rips too.....but is a tick off of Herling's.

He's always entertaining to watch but I don't know that we will be able to take much from the results when he does race TG and TC straight up. By that time, he's so far out of the points it will be irrelevant and they shouldn't push it so hard that they crash trying to race/beat JH - but focus on the championship. If it were only a few races into the season, things would be super interesting IMO. Not saying the GPs this season aren't interesting, they most certainly are. Just don't know how much you can take from it - similar to JH riding in the US when Tomac was closing out the championship. One person was trying to prove he was fast, the other was closing the championship and being smart.

Good point. However I can only hope some egos get in the way and we see some hard racing against him Evil

Wow, that is a badass short edit! Seriously impressed. The use of Eminems guess whos back was ingenious.

So many little statements in there that just fit Herlings and his comeback so well.
"Guess whos back"
"this looks like a job for me"
"So everybody just follow me"
"Cause we need a little controversy"
"Cause it feels so empty without me"

I'm not a big Herlings fan (for sure not a hater either), but that was just a great little clip.

Roczen was a GP guy.....He came over and did well immediately. Same with Musquin, Pourcel, Ferrandis. I can go on.

I bet my list of riders that did not do well is bigger than yours that did...dare to compare?

And besides the overwhelming majority on that list of "well do'ers" are French...and that is fine by me...

I certainly wouldn't bet against a fully fit Herlings but It does look like Gajser has upped his game a bit. Maybe they both leave Tony behind.
