People are saying secondary starter button but could it be something else? He was seen pressing it on the start gate.

Just about every team runs a secondary start button in case the one on the bars is damaged

Turbo button, engine will run on 133Mhz instead of 100 when activated.

It's common knowledge they have a secondary starter placed on the frame. however if he's pressed after his engine was running maybe it was a map switch for a specific map for the start? I'd love a current MXGP rider to come out and give away all the factory secrets after they retire. So much stuff that's super secret.

A lot of people have said it’s secondary starter button but it’s not, he was seen pressing it then immediately doing his practise start, I’ve seen people say it’s engages an anti-squat device for the starts?

If that was the case why not just put it on the bars and make it less conspicuous. Just hide in plain sight...

It’s a button that makes people ask questions. Works good too as you can see.

I have one on my bike, wires go under the tank to nothing.

There was a pro mod racer several years ago that had the bottle hid inside the gas tank and all the lines ran inside the fuel lines. He got away with it for a long time and then it caught fire and he was exposed. He was suspended for a while.
A 450 would only need a little shot on the start. Nitrous could be stored in the frame and activated by the electronics.

I dunno, but that Xact Pro shock doesn't look like mine, or anything I've seen on USA factory bikes.

Nice Carbon upper mounts - A few aftermarket companies are testing variations of those now.

I knew someone who brazed a bolt to his exhaust and ran a tube to a dummy ‘exhaust operated’ boost bottle.

The fact that he pressed it for his starts, i think its a button to lock the shock.. valve in the reservoir to stop the oill flow is my guess, bike didnt squat at all on launch.

Press button to activate, gear position sensor to click it off when you hit 3rd or 4th gear.

Not hard to do. Shock will need to be special.


Or it is just a remote start and he is messing with us all.

That's probably the button he uses to alert his track crew to start over-watering the track

Or maybe KTM is working on a "nostalgic comfort" button for those who raced before fuel injection. Gives you something to nervously fiddle with/check 37 times on the line since theres no petcock.
