There are a few moments here where the speed and control is quite ok.

His suspension setup is amazing. Rear end is so settled. He must have a beefed up subframe and guard. Looks further back than ever in the corners

Listen. He's using the torque of that motor to great effect. De Coster noticed it, now Mitch has commented on it in his latest interview. Imagine Barcia riding that track ?

Ahh the lovely winter training months in Europe.

I don't remember too many videos where a rider is challenging 450 this much Top notch ride

Americans don't practice like that...

The Americans are in So-Cal on supercross tracks, these guys are training in the cold, wet sand.

On another note, Herling's looks fast and comfortable.

Great video but it's from 2017 winter

To become a better sand rider, Cairoli went to Belgium and trained at Lommel.
So for Herlings, to get good at hardpack....did he go to Italy or Southern France to train?

And on that note, does Herlings use the back of the seat as much when he rides hardpack? Or is that a sand-only technique? He doesn't seem to use the forwardmost part of the seat very much.

Yeah. He’s even faster now.

Sounds like he's a gear higher than most anybody else would be, using the torque of the engine to the max benefit. As much of a jerk as I think Herlings is...I'm just amazed by his riding prowess, especially in crappy conditions like this.

Jeffrey normally goes to Spain every winter for some time when the weather here gets really bad.
Ofcourse it's a different position on the bike on hard pack. You don't need to keep the front light as much.

He makes it look so easy and effortless. Must have helium in the frame and tires.

Im surprised they let him out there with 4wheelers or allow 4wheelers out there with bikes.

Do you think that just maybe "The Americans are in So-Cal on supercross tracks" for the EXACT same reason Herlings is in the Netherlands practicing outdoors? After all, as you know, it makes sense to practice your profession.

Yes they are 2 completely different professions you are correct sir. No reason to have supercross riders race motocross or motocross riders race supercross. This is not the 1980's anymore.

Track is in Berghem. Yes ,quads are allowed even side cars on most tracks. Some days not.

Great track almost always open in the winter.

Riding a real world track with mortals!! I love it! No training facility for him!

I bet this replicates "REAL RACING CONDITIONS" better than anything else.

Kudos too him

RJ explained it well in his latest podcast talking about the MXDN and why the Euros kicked so much ass in the crappy weather.

There are videos of Herlings on a SX track too

Most top riders don't even have private tracks here in Europe.

Why would herlings even care to race SX when he is making as much or more not racing it?
