10 pager!

Bummer to hear he got hurt. Heal up soon kid.

Was really hoping to see him come over here and get waxed.

Wonder if he'll make the MXoN's race?

Sucks for everyone-GP fans, U.S. fans, etc. It's bad enough when a rider get injured racing or practicing, but to get hurt this way is almost insult on top of injury. Maybe have charity events like these outside the regular season?

Well this sucks. I wish I had a puppy to kick.

Christ....reminds me of Vuillemin crashing during a damn photo shoot and tearing up his shoulder when he had a HUGE lead in the SX championship...and possibly could have held off RC. Bummer.

I just looked at his instagram and there was a weird picture of what I thought was his arm but couldn't make it out. Then I saw this. What a bummer. That was going to be exciting. I just was telling my wife all about Jeffrey coming over. Dam

Get well soon Jeffrey. Now that he will possibly be out the the remaining GP's I think we will see several riders gain in confidence and step up to the plate to share moto wins. Cant see any one rider being so dominant and able to overhaul his almost insurmountable points lead.
Bummer for all the US fans, to be robbed of a chance this year to see undeniably the current world's fastest MX2 rider in any championship, take on the likes of Martin, Webb, Baggett,Pourcel etc at Unadilla next month.

Hope he gets well soon, femur breaks are no joke. Gutted that this had to happen when he was coming over for Unadilla. That was AMA vs. GP event of the year.

Ughhh no way! Has this been confirmed 100% from reliable sources?

If it's true I hope Herlings gets well soon. Such a bummer!
From KTM twitter:

KTM Racing will issue a PR concerning @Jeffrey Herlings injury when more details are available.

Crap.

Unadilla was going to be the race of the year for me. I was imagining an epic Martin/Bagget/Webb/Herlings battle which would set up 2 months of eager anticipation for the MXDN.

You know....if Cairolli is going to ride the 250 at MXDN....Unadilla would be a great practice raceCool

Tixier is frothing at the mouth right now. MX2 just got interesting.

As for Herlings, the last video I saw of him on an 85 he had that thing pinned. Dont know how fast he was going during this incident, but what an absolute clusterfuck for KTM. Sucks we don't get to witness his talent on U.S. soil.

If it is a broken femer he still could come back. Guy cooper did it in 1990 with a rod in his to win the title.

Wow, sucks. Hoping that it hasn't affected the hip too much, and that it will be a quicker recovery. Man, its just a bad deal.

How was i joking about it?
I stated a fact.
I am just as pissed as most on here and unlike a lot of you i would have been rooting for herlings.
Wishing him a speedy recovery and hopefully will get another chance to see him on US soil!.

Jordi Tixier needs to finish 4th or better from here on out to win the title. He's been inside the top 4 for the past 10 motos, and Herlings out is another rider he won't have to worry about. The pressure is what will be the deciding factor for him.

It will be very interesting. The pressure will be HUGE on Tixier and besides that Tonus and Coldenhoff are about to make their comeback in the MX2 Gp's. Both guys that can win (especcially Hoff in Lommel) and that will make iT even more difficult for Tixier.

About the crash and riding the 85cc, this event is called Everts and friends, organised for several years by...... Stefan Everts. Right, that's Herlings teammanager. Most guys race there for fun and wont take any risks, but everybody knows that when Herlings is on a bike he'll go WFO on any bike on any day. Guess Everts forgot about that when hè made Jeffrey participate. An 85cc isn't made for a 85 kg guy trying to keep up with the runner-up in European Championship 85cc who weights about 40 kg.

Anyway, I hope Herlings will heal up soon and takes this title hè deserves.

I know it was only one race but I'm honestly almost as mad as '06 when RC had the title wrapped up and ended up fucking his shoulder at GH before the MXdN. The fuckin universe, man. Just doesn't want GP vs USA to happen anymore... I blame the Alessi clan for using up all the universe power to fuck Josh Grant's career while Mike is cleaning up in Canada.

Get well soon JH

the last 2 gp's are in about 7 and 8 weeks from now. i think he is back on the bike by than and garbing the title so if it only is a broken bone (6 weeks recovery) he has the title.
Yea, 6 weeks for a collar bone, not a FEMUR or HIP like presumed....

Guess this means bad news for MXON for the Dutch....
