Herlings has chosen a line with dirt much dryer and as not as deep as the rest of the start. Everyone else are pushing and churning soft soil......smart man!!

Looks a bit like the RJ Hampshire effort last year. Take the outside gate for the better quality dirt and back your reaction time to get you around everyone. Awesome to watch.

Totally agree with this but takes some serious confidence to make a decision like that.

It's a little bit like the holeshots pulled at last years USGP in the 250 class - but with only about 35 ft of good ground to put things down on, instead of darned near the whole straight. Woohoo

Either way, both were awesome to watch.

Exactly what I thought. He learned that from RJ last year at Jacksonville. Go to the front of the class RJ

I thought the same but the main difference was Hampshire had last gate pick, Herlings had first gate pick haha

Good point. Ballsy move, could've gone very wrong ala Savatgy if he didnt nail it. Gives you an idea where his confidence was sitting at that point i guess. Interesting to see if the latest injury rolls that confidence back a little or if he just picks up right where he left it.

Yeah it was amazing. I haven't been able to watch the latest GP yet but it probably won't be the same without Herlings lol.

The best part of that was when TC222 an Lupino were in the startline, before the moto two and they was looking for the outside gate opportunities.Smile )
Can't find the picture of that

What. An. Animal.

There's like 20 riding lessons in that 1:26 video (which lasts... 20 seconds? in real time)

LOL! I saw it launch, too. Someone needs to engage the quad holeshot device.

I believe they said in yesterdays broadcast that Husky and KTM have had every holeshot in both classes except for two exceptions. I love seeing Euro bikes kick Jap ass.

Great gate pick and line choice. You can tell at 0:22 exactly what's going to happen, right when he looks over.
