While I can appreciate the engineering involved in the Ribi setup, I never did care for the looks. It's way too Transformers meets The Terminator.

Yeah, they always make me think of something out of the Alien movies. It looks real heavy too.

Why no water cooling on this bike? Didn't the '81 250 come with liquid cooling?

The stock bike was liquid cooled but often times the factory bikes stayed with air cooling for a year or so. Yamaha did the same thin in 82.

Thanks FreshTopEnd for the additional pics of the RC125 and thanks TB for all your great efforts on the MX history.

I took a couple pictures of this bike at Vintage Days in Ohio a couple weeks ago. Should have brought another truck with me to get this one.

How well did those weird front end Honda's work?

I know ugliness factor plays a part, but functionality wise how did they perform?

My favorites: the 81, 87, 96 and all the 2010 and up, ESPECIALLY the 96 throwback graphics on davi's bike.vAnd RC's DES nations 250 from 03. Absolutely gorgeous dirtbikes
