I have an 04. I running stock 12/50, i feel like there is a big gap in between 2nd and 3rd.

Do i go up a tooth to.use 3rd or drop to use 2nd longer amd 1st.for.tight corners?

What are the rest of my rm army boys using?

I always advise against gearing for 1st gear. You can grab neutral by accident too easily.
I'd add one tooth to the rear and try taller gears in the corners. By the way, your bike goes faster at lower RPMs in a taller gear than it does at high RPMs in a shorter gear. Try 3rd in the wider corners and you'll be a believer.

I found 2nd gear running out sooner than i liked.. after a little research in mx action archives,, i dropped 2 teeth in the rear which helped stretch 2nd gear out much farther.. low and behold clearing that tricky double out of the corner became much easier, just like that.. before i was rung out in 2nd and needing to shift,,

normaly i have always geared the other way on 125's.. but they didn't need a 30$ spark plug either.

hope that helps, my bike was an 07
