Help needed in Texas

Hi everyone,I know this isn't moto related but I figured more people would see this here. I am in need of a place to stay for a month or so. I grew up racing in New England and my father runs a motorcycle shop and has been in the industry for 30 years. I am in the Arlington area until at least July 16th. I have become a bowler and am on Team USA. I am getting ready for the World Bowling Open in Japan where the United States was given 2 spots and I have one of them. The person I was staying with got very sick and I had to move out on Saturday after only 5 days, right now I'm at a hotel. I have been trying to find an apartment but am striking out because I don't need a 6-12 month lease, so I am reaching out to the mx community for help.

A little bit about me. I am 23 and recently graduated from college. I will be going off to Dental School in a year. I am gone on most weekends for tournaments and will be away for 6 days in the beginning of July to go to Japan. My training days start around 930am and go until 11pm. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs. I am not looking for a place for free, I just need a place to stay until mid July, please contact me is you have a spare room you wouldn't mind renting out for a few weeks.

This is the truth.

I have a co-worker that owns a house on Chambers Bay Golf Course where they're hosting the U.S. Open this year, and he's been renting his house out for the past month for very, very good money!!!

I think your best bet is "rooms for rent" in craigslist or a local paper.

I agree, these bowler type guys are a pretty rough bunch so I wouldn't want them crashing at my place.

Thank you for the tips you guys. I have been searching airbnb and craiglist but have yet to find a place, thankfully a friend is letting me stay on their couch for a few days to hopefully find somewhere. Thanks for the laughs on the pictures too. And Starcrossed, that is me.

Good Luck in Japan...you're representing the home state as well as the USA. I bet you're very familiar with Crow Hill, judging by your hometown...maybe I'll spot you there some day and say hello.

Just think, this guy is going to Japan to represent his country in bowling...and for a time there we couldnt get our best to represent the USA in a cool sport like motocross.

That alone speaks volumes of his character, USA USA USA!

Starcrossed, you have probably seen me there, I live 7 miles from Crow Hill. I am number 95 on the Suzuki last year and my dad and I help with the starting gate for the NESC races there.

Bigborefan, the movie is The Big Lebowski!

Cool, I will def. say hi next time, now that I know your name and bike you're racing. Don't abandon this thread too soon, I wouldn't be surprised if it leads to something yet. Great career choice, btw... much success to you.
