Hi Everyone,
I am after a really good heart rate monitor for motocross, I have come down to 3 watches.
1. Garmin Forerunner 630 - http://www.clevertraining.com/garmin-forerunner-630-touchscreen-gps-run…
2. Garmin Forerunner 735xt - http://www.clevertraining.com/garmin-forerunner-735xt-gps-running-multi…
3. Garmin Fenix 3 HR - http://www.clevertraining.com/garmin-fenix-3-multisport-training-watch
I want to know which platform is best tailored to doing continuous laps and having a good look at the data (time, speed, HR, GPS and all the good stuff to look at afterwards and can look at all the important things for a mx racer
Thanks Guys!

models didnt do. (Not sure if this has came with updated softwares now)
You can still find it with so much less money that i dont see any reason get new ones other than looks.
Lap times, HR, Speed, Temp, Calories and other not important things you can watch By lap on clock or upload everything to garmin connect site and have your all riding data there including map.
If you want to cut place in handlebar foam you can go also Garmin Cycling models 500, 510 or something else
and you can watch laptimes or heart rate during riding. Forerunner clock has smaller font so its more difficult to see.
The Shop
I use a Garmin for my off the bike training (Vivoactive HR) but it doesn't have the ability to mark a lap position, it only does laps based on distance. It's the best multisport GPS watch I've used. I use it in the gym, on the road and mountain bike, and pool, along with my daily activity tracking. Only issue I've found is it isn't great at tracking spikes in heart rates if you are doing intervals or when my wrist was bent on the spin bike (it's a wrist based HR). I use a chest strap for those situations. I love that it connects with Strava and I don't have to bring my phone with me on bike rides.
You may be interested in this article, I wrote a while ago about GPS lap timing (including a Garmin Forerunner 310XT):

The vivo provides the HR with your activity included into your daily activities. The edge gives a precise look at your activity.
In the edge you can tell it how long a lap is distance wise and it will track laps by distance using GPS. Your ability to do a lap in that distance is your responsibility. I don’t see why you couldn’t build a lap and upload it into an edge 25 or 510+ there by being more precise.
Pit Row
(Also, if you're swimming don't press the buttons underwater...did it in the lap pool and it messed it up)
also: read here. he's the best resource on reviews.

I've tried Polar and Garmin at the track and they can't accurately follow the rapid directional changes that a rider on a dirt bike generates, the GPS in the watches cant follow the track well at all.
Lit Pro is the most expensive and kind of a pain in the ass to set up, but it has a super accurate GPS radio that can follow the track layout with extreme accuracy.
But if you are not looking for accurate lap times and only HRM data, any of the others work great.
Just my .02, and I know this is a dead thread anyway...
