Just got call from good buddy that lives down by Brian. heard he passed away today. Brian had his demons that were pretty common knowledge but he was still heck of a dude. Had many a battle with him on mini's. RIP Brian.

Oh man no. This really freakin sucks to hear. I know he had dealt with some emotional stuff over the years , and couldn't let some stuff go. Always seemed like such a good dude. Whatever happened , I hope he found peace. RIP Brian.....and thanks for letting all of us watch you shred the dirt all those years.

No offense, but rather wait for a family member or PR before proclaiming a guy dead

Sad news and I remember when McGrath and Swink were killing each coast on pro circuit splitfire team. Sad
Thanks for the heads up and don't pay any attention to EID dave.

Very Sad! Condolences to the Swink family. Still remember him in 91 nailing the triple behind the start at High Point on his Peak Honda CR 125! Awesome rider!

Not for nothing but it was the Pro Circuit Peak team back then. They were tearing up on Hondas.

changed title.

I just shoulda worded it better. I also talked to one of his close high school buds to confirm.

on a side note. I knew brian before he hit it big, he was always a pistol then and i knew he would make it big in moto...but i figured there would be fireworks wherever he landed...and there was. Always had respect for him...very competitive...i mean we had fist fights coming off the track when we were 10/11 yrs old. Few years later i got my first speeding ticket one winter headed up snow skiing (i was 16) and brian was in my passenger seat....he got lippy to the cop and he was like 14 or 15...probably stamped that ticket for me. lol. never a dull moment.

rest easy bri. hopefully hes at peace now.

RIP. I remember seeing him at red bud one year on the amateur track, I don’t think he let off the gas , just turned and railed the berms.

They should examine his brain, to see if they can find something like CTE. Helmets weren't that good back in his day and he was a full out guy.

RIP.

I have no clue how to make a tribute video but I could not do better anyway than these 4 minutes from Moto XXX, the best video at that time with Crusty and Terrafirma. Great talent, speed and style !

Sad day for our racing community, I pay my respects to one of the best riders of the late 80s and the 90s with a prayer and say rest in piece moto brother, like my dad said we will see you on the other side. Tragic for a legend to go still relatively not old. Growing up me and my brother were kids who watched every racer every weekend and Brian was one of those studds we wanted to be. Rest easy to one of our longtime hero’s and friend.

Rest in Piece. Brian was a heck of a good guy and I always have had the greatest amount of respect for him. I know many others share that as well and this is a very sad day for the moto community.
