Apparently they will be re-structuring the channel to include more mainstream sports. Sounds like they won't be broadcasting World Superbike, along with possibly some other motorsports.

I really hope they still broadcast MotoGP and the like.

MX / SX would be dropped way before Moto GP. Has a much larger fan base and attendance.

Don't like the idea ....just stating the facts

I guess these sports will be only available on the internet.
Who`s gonna film it if it`s just for internet?

You guys are really bumming me out with this shit. The only other option would be for the broadcast station(s) would be to make it a PPV / package deal or something like that. I'd friggin' pay it though.

This may have something to do with why:

http://www.speed2.com/

"•SPEED2 features exclusive LIVE and same-day delay racing events,
on-demand international motor sports content, as well as automotive and motorcycle enthusiast programming."

Just like some of you guys were saying they were restructuring before the SX season and wouldn't be showing live races. What followed, biggest live SX TV package to date. Speed Channel is about racing on wheels, not mainstream stick/ball sports, or whatever is defined as "mainstream" today.

I doubt some random poster on Vital has such inside info.

I would like to see them restructure some of their racing game shows out of the mix.

Is Speed the only channel out there? Nope. SX will find a new home even if we have to go back to a day delay. I have faith that a deal will be struck with a new non PPV channel. Then we can resume bitching about their shitty interpretation of the race day.

Pretty sure the Nascar boys saved SX on this one. Daytona motorsports group owns SX and AMA superbike so pretty sure thats how SX stayed on. Its DMG's winter entertainment.

You can't really blame Fox. They want to compete with ESPN which is in 99 Million homes, and Speed is the closest they have with 87 million homes.

It could possibly help MX out if they do in fact keep it around, in my opinion.

Imagine watching Fox Sports Ones version of Sportcenter, and right after you see highlights from a NFL game, they are cutting to SX/MX....if they have it they'd probably want to show it (advertise it).

Dorna is trying or talking about trying to make MotoGP a pay channel racing program. From what I have read about it they are largely going to be screwing over their European audiences.

The opening round from australia is next week and its not listed on the speed website tv schedule. There is no wsbk online streaming option. The motogp online streaming package is $140. Superbike planet reports no plans for speed to air wsbk this year from a source with the network. I wonder how sponsors will like not being broadcast in the states?

Fox has been taking 1 step forward and 2 back with motorcycle racing for a while now. The supercross coverage has been great and theyve been showing motogp races live with an additional taped broadcast in the afternoon same day. But they cut out all broadcast of moto3 and moto2 is on different so its hard to know when to catch those races, same with world supersport. Ama races went from being on at midnight sundays to 3 races broadcast this year. At least they have PINKS on 30 times a week...

Perhaps if Speed went back to showing racing (of any sort) versus car auctions, chop shop rebuild and other crap it could gain more viewship. Rarely do I turn it on and it is actual racing and when Nascrap starts again, it will be 24/7 Nascrap this and Nascrap that.

He is going w/ Hobbs and Matchy to NBC Sports. Pretty sure that Leigh Diffy will be the 3rd man in place of Varsha.

I don't know if you guys can get SKYSPORTS over there. F1 has it's own channel with SKY over this side of the pond.
