Have been on the fence about posting this...but I think it's too cool not to share and this little boy can take all the support we can give!

This young boy, Gabe Sharp, has been fighting a cancerous brain tumor since mid spring. While they were able to remove most of the tumor that was contacting brain and spinal areas that control movement, he is still undergoing major treatments and extensive physical therapy. He has more or less been hospitalized since early March and has had a very tough time with this, although he has good spirits and a fighter's attitude.

Gabe just started riding a few years ago and quickly became obsessed with racing MX and short track. He was a D17 local prior to this. Gabe is a die hard KTM fan.

Make-A-Wish became aware of his interest in KTM and racing and partnered with KTM to arrange a visit from Ryan and other KTM folks. Ryan hooked him up with a bunch of swag and they also invited him to a future SX/MX race to be hosted by KTM hospitality. This exemplifies Ryan's character and KTM's corporate citizenship.

If anyone runs into Ryan at MXoN, please shake his hand and tell him thank you for doing this.

Ryan is probably one of the best humans to grace this sport. that he was a multi-time champ was just a bonus to what he brings into the world.

well done-gy

And the best thing is he doesn't do it for likes or anything like that. He would do it without anyone taking notice

Our sport, and the world, are better places with Ryan Dungey in them.

Dungey is the epitome of what every human being should strive to be. Wishing for the absolute best for this young man and his family. I've spent a lot of time in Children's Hospitals with my daughter and it's absolutely gut wrenching what some of these kids go through and mind blowing at the same time the mental strength these kids have.

The world needs more people like Ryan Dungey
It seems like he tries really hard to do everything he can to help other people, I hope the boy gets better and gets back to riding !

Wow. That brought me to tears. I hate seeing kids dealing with stuff like this. He's done nothing wrong and yet he's suffering so much from such a horrible disease at such a young age. Praying for you Gabe. Thank you Ryan for your willingness to go out of your way to put a smile on such a brave little dude's face.

Horrible situation but totally first class to bring a little joy to that child's life during such an awful time. Way to go Ryan and KTM.

Ryan Dungey is a class act and outstanding ambassador for the sport. It is so sad to hear about children with cancer and I hope and pray for this boy. I meant to donate to Dungey’s St. Jude Children’s hospital fundraiser this summer so this was reminder and I just donated.

Same here. It's no picnic for Ryan as well I'm sure to walk into St Jude and be exposed to all the suffering and hardship these kids and families endure.
His life examples what we all have to gain with self sacrifice and the benefits to endure a little suffering in our own lives.
