RD has peaked...SEVERAL TIMES...
Twice in 2009: 250 SX Lites, MX & MXoN Champ
Thrice in 2010: 450SX, MX & MXoN Champ (his Rookie 450 year).
Once in 2011: MXoN Champ (& MX1 overall)
Once in 2012: 450 MX Champ
Now, here's the important part...when Ryan has a Bad Year? He get's 2nd.
When he has a Terrible Year? He get's 3rd.
His Rookie Year? I think he got 5th...and 5th (2007).
I'm thinkin' he's about to turn 25 & hit his "3rd Renaissance".
The Shop
Someone above posted his career statistics, and I don't see him beating or equaling those for the remainder of his career at all.
So yes I would say his career has peaked. That's just my opinion.
I am a huge Roczen fan and currently ride a Suzuki, but dam it would be cool to see Dungey win both titles in 2015 on the Pumpkin, just to finally let it sink in for some people that the bikes are as good as any out there.
As for Dungey peaking? Doubt it he is 25, though I guess people have been writing Reed off since he was about 25, you know the last 7 years or so.
The KTM mechanics I've talked to are *really* pumped on it. They say it's a lot simpler to work on.
I also heard a rumor that they expect to have four bikes at the weight limit at A1.
Woukdn't that make it the lightest bike?
Roczen
Stewart
Barcia
Canard
Tomac
Just to name a few are equal in speed, faster, and much more aggressive than Super Pump on any given night.
Let's face it the Dung can't pass. If he starts behind these riders he will not pass them unless they all crash. The aggressiveness or some may call it confidence he had in twenty ten is gone.
Pit Row
I think you guys sometimes forget, these guys are pros. Winning isn't necessarily everything.
