And he was a super down to earth, real guy. He always looked me in the eye and smiled. I'm lucky to have spent time around him. A straight up genuine person.

Happy Birthday "Magoo"!!! You were one of a kind and most of all you were always "WFO"!!! R.I.P. Danny, Godspeed...
Wild magoo. my dad and I ran into him at washougal one year when I was really young and my dad mentioned to him that he had some old photographs of magoo back at our camp. we brought the photos back later and he invited us into his camp to hangout for a few and check out the pics. I was too young to remember much of it but I remember danny being real excited about the photos and if I remember right my dad gave them to him. had no idea who i was meeting, I grew up to be a huge fan once I learned more moto history
R.I.P.

Happy Birthday and RIP to a one of a kind racer. Just like with James Stewart I could never take my eyes off Danny when he was on the track because you never knew what the hell he was going to do next. I have some awesome memories of watching him race. His Trophy and Motocross des Nations 4 moto sweep will always be in the history books.
