In 1st practice He cased a small jump and then rolled to a stop. Played with his shifter then pushed it off to the pits. Never came back.

From the earlier thread on Hanny, he might have lost a transmission.

I saw him rolling around the last lap of the 2nd practice. I wonder if the bike still has issues.

That's ok he'll be back!! Lining up against 20 other guys is a lot different than ripping the practice track on your own having fun doing wheelies through the whoops. Showed he has speed.

dropped the anchor in the main
He had a solid ride going until McElrath got into him and he went down. I say he rode pretty damn good tonight considering how long it's been since he last raced.

Haters gunna hate though.

I liked his red gear. He was solid, just got tired and got punked.

Solid ride until he pushed out from track. Place he lost time to other was end of whoops, corner speed and style was top as always.

I thought hanny's comeback ride last night should be considered a success for sure. He was in the mix at times and should get better as the season progresses.

10th after going down is pretty dang good in my book

Enough of the bullshit here. He was a pilon out there. There's no other way to say it!

The only guys worse were Wilson and Grant. They were absolutely terrible. Josh Hill looked awful as well.

Thats what I thought too, his bike didnt look as good in the whoops.

I was a bit dissapointed in his result but considering he hasnt raced one of these things in a couple years I think he did alright and can build on this.

I think as (hopefully) the tracks get more technical he'll do better. He just needs to keep believing in his program and dont let this first race get him down.

I thought he looked cautious, not a bad thing. I also noticed he would pull away in rhythm sections but lose ground in the whoops some. Anyone on the gate for a final deserves to be there and be respected in my book.

He was good until he went down. His fitness definitely needs some work but other than that he proved he's not there to fuck around. To be totally honest I don't think he was expecting to immediately be out front like that so he was pushing really hard. The whoops were definitely his weakness last night.

I thought he did really well I mean he has not raced and got punted. Yeah he was fading but I think he can still win if he can get his fitness better assuming that was part of the issue

For his first race back he made a mockery of every one who raced last year and finished behind him. I just hope he lets the tbone go and not focus on revenge. Just race.

Normally Hanny is really strong in the whoops but last night he was really struggeling with it. Suprised me.

I think it was a solid start to his season. I was impressed. He did look cautious out there but I think we will see him improve each week.

From Racer X:
Up and down day for Josh Hansen, who made his first appearance in a main event since St. Louis in 2012. He had some bike problems that prevented him from going out for the second timed qualifying session and he tightened up almost immediately in the main. “I was my own worst enemy after that,” Hansen said. “I was just blocking and being an idiot out there, I was just another dude.” His problems got worse when he got bumped by Shane McElrath and went off the track, relegating him to ninth place. Still, Hansen led some laps in his heat and started up front in the main.
